La Madrague, a 4-star campsite by the sea in Pornic
The only Pornic campsite located opposite the sea, La Madrague is a 4-star campsite which is a member of the Capfun group. Ideal for setting out to discover the coast, this campsite with a human dimension is also a perfect holiday destination to unwind and enjoy yourself on the Côte de Jade.
A campsite opposite the Atlantic Ocean
The estate on which the La Madrague campsite is located is opposite the Atlantic Ocean. On the wild coast, it enjoys a a clear view over the ocean and direct access to a coastal path running alongside the coastline. Here and there, various inlets located below the campsite make it possible to access the sea without difficulty.
The tourist resort of Pornic, which has grown around its château and its marina, is located four kilometres from the campsite, whilst the nearest beach, that of Porteau, is less than a kilometre away. Moreover the journey to access the beach can be made quickly on foot.
This luxury Pornic campsite stretches over an estate of several hectares which is both green and pleasantly landscaped. On the cliff tops, some pitches have been laid out so as to accommodate campers and their tent, their caravan and/or their camper. Going barely much further and the other plots on the La Madrague campsite accommodate holiday hire properties. Although the majority take the form of mobile homes, holidaymakers who wish to also have the possibility to stay in out of the ordinary caravans. The latter can accommodate up to four people in a 20 m² area.

Amongst the services which can be found on the campsite, examples include a restaurant, open from April through to September, a bar, a snack bar - takeaway, an essential provisions service and a launderette. In high season, two mini-clubs moreover are open and accommodate young holidaymakers aged 4 to 12 years (the Clapou club) and 13 to 17 years (Nobodys club). For all that, adults are not forgotten as an aquatic therapy session is run every morning and, during the day, other convivial entertainment and sports tournaments are also available to them. Every week, three main party nights gather children and adults together to be entertained in a festive warm atmosphere!
Pornic and the Côte de Jade

Located 25 kilometres to the north of Pornic, the Pont de Saint Nazaire (a spectacular bridge) allows fascinated tourists to cross the Loire estuary and to discover this mythical Loire Atlantique town. With its naval shipyards, its former submarine base nowadays houses the Escal’Atlantic museum and the submarine Espadon, Saint Nazaire has no shortage of attractions that tourists will love.
Lastly, after Saint Nazaire, you can visit the seaside resort of La Baule-les-Pins, the Le Croisic peninsula, with its fishing port, auction and its Océarium (sea life aquarium). You may also take in the medieval town of Guérande, with its salt marshes and its walled enclosure.
