Leisure and pleasure will be the watchwords for your stay in the Baie de Somme estuary. Having put down your bags on your pitch, in your bungalow or your villa, you’ll be able to go and discover the swimming area, comprised of a pool and paddling pool heated to 28°C. There is also an entirely new area with an indoor swimming pool, balneotherapy area, lap pool and massage jets, which will be opened in July 2023.
Le Ridin has expanded since it first opened in the 1980s, around a farmhouse and farm buildings with typical Picardy architecture. Located just a stone's throw from the Le Crotoy seaside resort, you’ll have the feeling of being on the other side of the world, and you’ll be filled with wonder at the splendour of the Baie de Somme. You’ll be able to do your shopping at the campsite’s grocery or have lunch at “Le Mayocq”, the campsite’s warm restaurant.
During the school holidays, a mini-club looks after children aged 5 to 17 if they wish. They can have beginner’s sessions in various sports, have fun during outdoor activities, find their creative talent and perform on stage in the children's show. No doubt they will make new friends, supervised by a team of activity leaders as cheerful as they are resourceful!
Countryside and a change of scenery just a stone’s throw from Le Crotoy
After a pétanque or table football game or cardio session in the campsite gym, you’ll be able to get on a bike and go off to explore the Baie de Somme estuary. The mountains and wonders of Picardy
In the heart of the Baie de Somme nature reserve, a Conservatoire du Littoral site (which protects natural, coastal and lakeside areas), the Parc du Marquenterre reserve is an exceptional location to see the countryside, and animal and plant species. With its 200 hectares of marshland, dunes and reed beds, between the land and sea, the park is a protected area which will attract you with its unique landscapes and natural lushness. Depending upon the season, you’ll be able to observe migratory birds coming from northern Europe or returning from Africa.
If you love old buildings, visit the original Rambures castle dating back to the 15th century, the first castle in “stone and brick” and its 3,200 m² rose garden home to 500 varieties of rose. You will also enjoy the Valloires abbey, dating back to the 12th century, and its magnificent gardens. If your children are interested in planes, go round the Musée des Frères Caudron museum, the two Caudron brothers being aviation pioneers in Picardy.
To delight your children, take them on several fairground rides at the Parc de Bagatelle theme park, or go thrill-seeking on a treetop adventure course, with zip lines at the Parc Aventure Salomon adventure park. You can also go horse riding or beginner’s sand yachting on the vast sandy beaches in the area. No doubt, you’ll come back filled with wonder by your stay on the Le Ridin campsite.
