Established in one of the most popular coastal resorts of the island of the Île de Ré, Le Bois Plage en Ré, 600 metres from the beach and the seaside, the Le Suroît campsite nestles within a delightfully wooded and in bloom campsite. Here greenery has its rightful place, and the majority of pitches and accommodation offered for hire by this establishment can boast being shaded.
Camping on a human scale, family-orientated and convivial, Le Suroît offers holidaymakers the choice to pitch their tent, and set up their caravan or camper van on vacant but spacious pitches with an surface area varying between 80 m² to 100 m². If they are seeking additional luxury, they can then look to the mobile homes and chalets. Mobile homes divide into three complementary ranges; the “1er Prix” (“Luxury”) range, the “Confort” (“Comfort”) range and the Privilège (“Privilege”) range, whilst chalets only divide into the “Comfort” and “Privilege” ranges.
In 2019, an entirely new range of mobile homes has appeared on the Le Suroît campsite. Christened “Archipel”, this range consists of tailor-made accommodation for groups and large families. Each holiday rental brings together two mobile homes located opposite each other and separated by a large covered shared terrace.
As regards services, within this Île de Ré campsite there is a grocery shop for emergencies, only open during the peak season, a bar, a restaurant, a snack bar – takeaway, a launderette, as well as Wi-Fi Internet access (charged for). It is worth noting that the bar, the restaurant and the activities hall on the campsite are new for 2018! Lastly, a multitude of shops are accessible on foot from Le Suroît, and the town centre, dynamic and lively in summer is less than a kilometre from the campsite.

Various recreational facilities are scattered around this Le Bois Plage en Ré campsite, starting with its delightful aquatic park. This brings together a heated outdoor pool, with a small and large pool, a paddling pool and water play games, as well as an indoor pool, which also accommodates hydromasssage benches. Around the pools, a solarium and sunloungers enable those who wish to do so to indulge in idleness on the Île de Ré.
Amongst the other facilities on the campsite note the mini-golf course, the pétanque terrain, a children’s playground, ping-pong tables and table football. Immediately around the campsite, holidaymakers can easily get to the beach and the sailing school established there. It is possible to hire surfboards and even have sailing lessons.
