La Baume, a 5-star campsite in Fréjus
In Fréjus, in the hinterland of this seaside resort, close to the village of Puget sur Argens in the Provence and on the Var coast, lies La Baume. This 5-star camping resort nestles in the heart of a landscaped and green 25-acres property.
A luxury campsite between Provence and the Côte d’Azur
The La Baume campsite is located on a beautiful landscaped property with a surface area of about 25 hectares, 5 km from the beaches, near Fréjus and in the vicinity of La Provençale. This motorway (known as the A8) connects the campsite rapidly with any location on the Côte d'Azur and Provence. The property is shared with the holiday resort La Palmeraie.
The 25 acres of the property have been divided into pitches, of which a large part is today covered by mobile homes and other rental accommodations. The remaining pitches can accommodate the 'real' campers, who travel with their own tent, caravan or camper. They can put their equipments on delimited pitches, separated from each other by hedges and scrubs and featuring an average surface area of 100 m². These pitches are all equipped with electricity, water and sewage connections.
Among the rentals of this 5-star campsite in Fréjus, there are some great villas, but also many and varied mobile homes. These form an ideal compromise between the conviviality of camping and the comfort of a holiday village. Opened in 2016, the La Baume villas are top-of-the-range, entirely private and with a garden, a covered terrace and an outdoor whirlpool bath. They are also equipped with all necessary electrical appliances and Wi-Fi access is included.
On-site, the residents of La Baume can enjoy the services of a bakery, a self-service super market, a clothing boutique, a newspaper store, and a souvenirs shop with beach items, postcards, etc. The establishment also features a traditional restaurant and a pizzeria snack, proposing also take away services.
A bustling campsite which is full of life
Just like the tourists staying at La Palmeraie, the residents of the La Baume campsite can enjoy all of the facilities of this 25-hectare property, bringing these two establishments together. That's why it is possible to join one of the two water parks of this outdoor establishment in Fréjus, which in total, combine no less than 5 outdoor swimming pools, including a heated pool, six water slides, two whirlpools, and a playground for children. There's also a covered water area with 2 heated pools, a water slide, a whirlpool and a hammam to relax.
Other sports and fun facilities include several beach volleyball courts, four tennis courts, one basketball court and a further one which is a football pitch as well as an archery range (operating solely in July and August) and pétanque courts. The guests can also enjoy a fitness room and participate in the aquagym lessons in one of the pools.
Children are not forgotten as a mini-club is open from April to September on the site. During the Easter holidays and during the high season, (July and August), no less than three clubs take over. The Pitchoun club accommodates those aged 4 to 8, the juniors' club those aged 9 to 13 and the teens’ club those aged 14 to 17. Note that the latter is also open, in addition to the two summer months, over a number of periods in April.
Every evening, the campsite's amphitheatre opens its doors and the residents can attend many shows, concerts or other evening entertainment. Next there is nothing better than a visit to the La Baume nightclub to end the evening in style…
In a sun-drenched region full of surprises
Located less than 15 minutes by road from the town centre of Fréjus and the beaches of this seaside resort in the Var, La Baume enjoys a highly delightful geographical situation. All the more so as, at only two steps from the campsite, la Provençale brings you very fast to other resorts on the Cote d'Azur or in other parts of the Provence.
The Côte d'Azur, with its sandy beaches, natural coves, calanques and famous cities and villages is considered one of the most beautiful regions of France. While staying on la Baume you can visit Cannes, Nice, Monaco, Menton, Saint Tropez, Ramatuelle and Le Lavandou, and all these names evoke wistful longing.
