Opened in 1964, the Les Jardins de La Pascalinette® campsite offers the services of a top-of-the-range open-air establishment, having the warmth of a family campsite. It thus has a multitude of attractions, starting with a location which could not be more idyllic close to the Hyères harbour, rightly regarded as one of the most outstanding areas of the Var coast.

Very Green Camp, Very Green Act...

  • The maintenance of a Sentier Botanique (botanical trail) and an LPO Refuge The campsite is a large wooded landscaped park. Travellers, colleagues, animals and vegetation cohabit harmoniously within this maintained space, cherished since the 1960s. An ecological green setting, which enables biodiversity to bloom. Moreover, the campsite is a government-regulated LPO Refuge (Refuge conventionné de la Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux - an area seeking to protect birds and wildlife and promote conservation).

  • Reduction of water and energy consumption All accommodation is equipped with toilet flushing and low-flow taps. Optimized garden watering occurs thanks to the technique of mulching and relies upon local resources (watering using water from the Canal de Provence) and the staff are trained in active monitoring of any water leaks. The campsite is highly vigilant about light pollution. It favours solar lighting. Sanitary blocks are equipped with presence detectors for interior lighting, and all accommodation and facilities are equipped with low-consumption light bulbs.

  • Use of maintenance and cleaning products and fertilizers respecting both Man and Nature The Var is one of the most wooded departments in France, and the campsite is considerate of its countryside. All maintenance and cleaning products used are labelled both eco-friendly and natural to respect everyone’s well-being. Fertilizer and gardening products are of natural origin.

  • Waste Sorting The campsite staff are committed to an ecological approach, for sorting all recyclable waste. The under-sheets and disposable sheets are recycled by a specialist company, green campsite waste is broken down to be reused for the benefit of further planting, reusable paper is used as scrap paper, and the sorting bins are in the direct vicinity of the campsite.

  • The campsite favours short distances and soft mobility The campsite favours producers, shopkeepers and local craftspeople, through choosing local technicians for building and works activities, holding a Provençal market, using regional products in the restaurant, and even the partnership with the neighbouring vineyard for the welcome party. For moving around the campsite, the staff use bikes, and bike hire is both promoted and encouraged for guests to easily move around the surrounding area.
