A campsite in the middle of nature
The 5-star campsite Le Ranc Davaine is settled in the heart of the southern Ardeche, in the vicinity of the Provence and in a landscape of garrigues, vineyards and dry stones. It lies by the river, in the community of Saint Alban Auriolles, a few kilometres from Ruoms and Vallon Pont d'Arc.
This outdoor establishment extends over a 15-acres property along the Chassezac, an affluent of the Ardèche River. There are 435 pitches of which most are nowadays occupied by modern and comfortable mobile homes. However, there are still a lot of pitches to welcome campers and their equipments, and these are mostly shaded or semi shaded, with an electric supply.
With regard to the rentals of this luxury campsite in the Ardèche, they are many and varied. There are nearly a dozen of different mobile homes to meet the demands and wishes of each and everyone. They all have a terrace with garden furniture and the most luxurious ones even have air-conditioning!
Among the shops implemented on the property, there's a grocery store, very useful when you stay in the middle of nature like here on Ranc Davaine, a bar and a restaurant offering snack formulas or more elaborated dishes based on regional and local products!
Between garrigue and river
Between garrigue and river, there are many activities on le Ranc Davaine. Thus, tourists who come here will appreciate even more the direct and safe access to the river, where they can swim or canoe down with the flow to reach the Ardèche and its spectacular gorges.
The campsite also features a great water park composed of a multitude of pools in graduating waterfalls, a heated indoor swimming pool (which nevertheless can be opened when the sun shines), paddling pools, water slides and toboggans. The water park of le Ranc Davaine is also equipped with a modern fun water playground for children.
One of the pools welcomes each morning during the season aquagym sessions to workout and eliminate the excesses of the night before. At the initiative of the sports team, these sessions are organized on top of the fitness lessons, sports tournaments and other activities like dance lessons... The sporty ones will have the opportunity to practice various physical activities on the football field, the tennis court, the volleyball, badminton, basketball, jeu-de-boules fields, the fitness room or even the campsite's table tennis tables.

Under the sun of the Ardèche
Settled on one shore of the Chassezac River, campsite Le Ranc Davaine enjoys an ideal location, surrounded by nature and close to the main tourist sites of the Department. Among these, the gorges of the Ardèche are definitely the most popular. They start in Vallon Pont d'Arc, a community at 15 kilometres from the campsite, it is possible to get here by car or... by canoe! The Chassezac River is an affluent of the Ardèche, joining it almost five kilometres after the campsite.
The gorges of the Ardèche then flow down over more than a dozen kilometres, offering canoeists breathtaking places, like the Cirque de la Madeleine or the balcony of the Knights Templar.
Still in Vallon Pont d'Arc, the decorated Chauvet Cave is one of the oldest in the world. Its wall paintings date back to 31 000 years before our era! Even if the site is closed to the public, since 2014 it is possible to visit a replica.
The other important tourist sights near the campsite, include the villages of Balazuc, Ruoms, Vogüé and Labeaume, which old stones charm every year many tourists, as well as the source of Font Vive, located at the foot of the ghost village of Chastelas, at a dozen of kilometres from le Ranc Davaine.
