Le Logis du Breuil - a luxury campsite between Royan and La Palmyre
It is by the Forêt Domaniale de Saint Augustin les Mathes (a French national forest), which separates the seaside resorts of Royan and La Palmyre, that the Le Logis du Breuil campsite is located. This 4 star campsite has 300 pitches and 90 mobile homes spread over grounds of 30 hectares, perfect for a family holiday in the Charente Maritime département!
A 4 star campsite in Saint Augustin...
Equidistant between Royan and La Palmyre, Le Logis du Breuil is a 4 star campsite in Saint Augustin, a town located at the heart of the Arvert peninsula, within the immediate vicinity of the seaside resorts on the Côte de Beauté, including the famous Saint Palais sur Mer. By an immense forest conducive to walks, this top-of-the-range campsite in Charente Maritime occupies lush and partly wooded grounds of 30 hectares.
Granted the surface area is impressive at first glance, but only a proportion of it has been laid out to accommodate campsite pitches and holiday rentals. Pitches are the most numerous, amounting to 300 in total. They are divided into 2 ranges, Comfort pitches, enjoying a connection to mains drinking water, a waste water drainage system and a 10 amp electrical connection, as well as Standard pitches, equipped with a 6 or 10 amp electrical connection.
There are 90 holiday rentals. Although the majority take the form of mobile homes, holidaymakers who wish to can also stay in chalets or gîtes. All accommodation has been established on plots of around 200 m², thus enabling the holiday rentals to be spread out for even greater holidaymaker comfort and tranquillity The most top-of-the-range mobile homes are in the “Taos” range. They are able to accommodate between 4 to 6 people having 3 bedrooms, 2 shower rooms and a large wooden terrace.
A playground in grounds of 30 hectares...
In the Royan countryside, this 4 star campsite offers excellent facilities to these holidaymakers. Although they can go shopping in the large shopping centres in Royan and Les Mathes, they can also make the most of the multitude of on-site services, making the car superfluous during their stay to say the least!
There is thus at the Le Logis du Breuil campsite, a grocery with fresh fruit and vegetables, basic essentials, drinks, souvenirs and regional specialities. Each day you can even buy fresh bread and sweet breads and buns such brioches, croissants and pains au chocolat. At the campsite reception, holidaymakers can even find themselves offered valuable tourist advice, whilst they can spend quality time over a drink or meal by going to the campsite’s bar or restaurant.
Le Logis du Breuil also offers a takeaway service, a bicycle hire service, a service selling tickets for the region’s major tourist attractions, as well as Wi-Fi coverage available around the reception area, the bar and the aquatic area.
An aquatic park and quality recreational and sports facilities...
This establishment indeed has a highly delightful aquatic park. It is made up of a large outdoor and fully heated Californian swimming pool, an outdoor paddling pool for the very young with water games and 3 water slides. There is also a large section which is indoor and heated, which has a swimming pool, a whirlpool bath, hydromassage benches and a second paddling pool.
Although numerous campsite holidaymakers make the most of the aquatic park, many other leisure facilities are present on-site and delight those who use them. Amongst these facilities, we can mention the large outdoor playground, with a see saw, slides and a climbing wall. From 2019 onwards, the very young can even make the most of a pirate ship play structure and a rope bridge.
At the Le Logis du Breuil campsite, those who are most competitive can also make the most of a multi sports ground, a volleyball court, as well as a tennis court. Lastly, by taking the cycle tracks scattered over the neighbouring forest, holidaymakers can quickly access the coastal beaches, where numerous water sports await them, such as surfing or windsurfing…
