With regard to pitches, this campsite by the sea in the Landes has plots with private sanitary blocks. With a minimum surface area of 100 m², they are spacious and have been laid out to equally accommodate a tent, caravan, converted van or even a camper van. Whether you’re a lover of traditional camping or van life, this establishment meets all your needs. All the more so as the private sanitary blocks (with WC, shower, washbasin and sink), picnic table, two sunloungers and connection to the Wi Fi network, which are included in the booking, provide the maximum amount of additional comfort!
Cottages combine the modern, comfort, space and facilities. In the pine forest, they all have a terrace enabling their occupants to enjoy the benefits of life in the great outdoors! Depending on their layout, they can accommodate four to seven people, having 2-3 bedrooms.

Wanting to dive into the ocean? Just 200 metres from the campsite, you’re on the warm sand of Ondres beach! A footpath runs alongside the forest and then crosses the dune, which allows you to safely walk to the beach. You can also use the pavement running alongside Avenue de la Plage, the road linking the town centre of Ondres to the eponymous beach which goes past the campsite. At the end of it, opposite the ocean, restaurants, bars, ice cream vendors, shops selling beachwear and beach equipment and a surf school await you.
On the campsite, there is a brand new water park for all the family! This consists of a paddling pool for young swimmers, swimming pool for lovers of swimming and sunbathing terrace to get a tan, whilst reading your current novel in peace, keeping an eye on your family splashing about nearby.
The Ondres Océan campsite also has children’s clubs with free access, from aged 5 and upwards. These enable young holidaymakers to take part in various activities offered by the cheerful group of activity leaders! Workshops on cookery, science, discovering biodiversity or even gardening for a day, the programme is guaranteed to be packed full of discoveries! As regards services and recreational facilities, this establishment is equipped with a restaurant, bar and “indoor” play park for children. Exploring the Landes and Pays Basque (Basque Country)!
Halfway between Bayonne and Capbreton, the Ondres Océan campsite is the perfect starting point for exploring the Landes and Pyrénées Atlantiques departments. Fill up your water bottle, put on your trainers, helmet, sunglasses and apply sun cream, and you’re all set to discover the wonders of the South West! Go off to explore the feria (southern France festival) towns, such as Dax or Mont de Marsan as well the major lakes on the Côte d’Argent (Atlantic coast south of the Gironde estuary to Tarnos)… On the Basque coast, head for Bayonne, Bidart, Biarritz, Espelette, Ainhoa or even Saint Jean Pied de Port!
Near the campsite, avid cyclists can take the ‘Vélodyssée’, a cycle route which runs along the Atlantic coast, from Brittany to the Basque Country. This is one of the ten best cycling routes in the world, the Landes stretch being the longest on the trail. There are 160 kilometres of trails between Biscarrosse and Tarnos!
Lastly, if you wish to make the most of the campsite’s proximity to Spain, be aware that a train from Hendaye enables you to go to Saint Sébastien in less than 30 minutes. This town, popular with tourists visiting the Spanish Basque Country abounds in treasures, particularly in the centre within the Parte Vieja old town district.
