Less than a kilometre from Fréhel beach, in the town of Erquy, Côtes d’Armor, the Le Vieux Moulin campsite is located. Nestling in the heart of magnificent 7-hectare grounds, this establishment offers guests a little over a hundred pitches in bloom, separated from each other by magnificent shrub hedges. As well as these pitches intended to accommodate tents, caravans, converted vans and campers, Le Vieux Moulin also features numerous mobile homes available for hire. Le Vieux Moulin has its own water park. This offers facilities for the whole family, for young and old alike!
In the water park on the Le Vieux Moulin campsite there is a large, outdoor swimming pool, heated to 28°C, and second heated, indoor swimming pool, enabling swimmers to make the most of the delights of water, whatever the vagaries of the weather. The paddling pool allows toddlers to take their first steps in the water with a maximum depth of 40 centimetres, and play with the available water mushroom and water jets.
Amongst the other leisure and sports facilities on this campsite in Erquy, it is worth mentioning the multi-sport ground, outdoor play area and kids club open in the high season.
A dream stay on the Côte d’Emeraude coast
Located in Erquy, in the north-east of the Côtes d'Armor, the Le Vieux Moulin campsite offers residents an oh so invaluable geographical location, as it is close to numerous tourist attractions on the Côte d’Emeraude (between Cancale and the Baie de St Brieuc). This is one of the loveliest coasts in France, especially thanks to the high granite cliffs you can see at the Cap Fréhel headland, located some 15 kilometres from the campsite, or in the surrounding area.
Just a stone’s throw from Cap Fréhel, Fort La Latte is also among the main tourist sites of the Emerald Coast and the north of the Côtes d'Armor. This fortress is considered as a jewel of defensive architecture in Brittany, and is certainly worth a visit.
History and old stone lovers, staying at campsite le Vieux Moulin, shouldn't miss the opportunity to go to Dinan, extremely well-preserved medieval city at 45 kilometres from Erquy. It dominates the Rance River, flowing into the English Channel in Saint Malo. Saint Malo, the most famous of the French privateers cities, stronghold of many adventurers and legendary seamen (Jean Bart, Surcouf, Jacques Cartier, etc.), can be considered as a masterpiece of the Emerald Coast. Protected from the waves by its city walls, Saint Malo is a must-see place during a stay in the North of Brittany.
In front of this privateers city, the seaside resort of Dinard is worth the visit, with its casino and its classy villas dating for most of them from the beginning of the last century. Cancale, famous for its oysters, and the village of Moncontour, classified as one of the most beautiful villages of France, are also worth a visit.
