For hikers taking the trails of the famous GR 34 running alongside the campsite, there are Bivouac tents specially designed for them. Two twin beds, a private terrace in the 5 m² tent for a good night’s rest, before setting off again on this path running parallel to the Brittany coast!
For those who wish to enjoy increased comfort, they are spoilt for choice on this high-end Côtes d’Armor campsite. The “Tit'tente” of 25 m² for 4 persons without a bathroom but having a timber terrace and garden furniture set, “Tiny Home” in timber fully equipped with a children’s bedroom on the first floor, and mobile homes in the Access, Privilège or Panorama ranges, having wide panoramic windows and a large terrace, offering a panoramic view over the open sea. Why not experience the “Tree House” to live in “Glamping” mode perched 5 metres high?
A peaceful and family atmosphere in time to the Breton tides
On the Cap de Bréhat campsite, sports and recreational activities are offered for young and old alike: canoe trips, hikes, muscle strengthening, sports tournaments, pétanque games and shore fishing on the beach. In July and August, qualified activity leaders, full of energy, welcome children aged 5-12 at the Eden Kids Club for sports, fun and creative activities.
During your stay by the Baie de Paimpol, you’ll be able to recharge your batteries on vast sandy beaches to the rhythm of the tides. The magnificent GR 34, also known by the name “Sentier des Douaniers” (Coastguards’ path) enables you to discover breathtaking landscapes, including the famous Pink Granite coast. Watch the gulls and hawks flying above you. Shiver from the top of the cliffs reaching 100 metres high!
Come the evening, spend unforgettable times as a family or with friends. On the programme: karaoke, shows, concerts and evening walks along the coast. You’ll fall asleep happy, exhausted from the sunshine and sea spray, and eager to start another day on the Cap de Bréhat campsite.
Go off to explore the wonders of the Côtes d'Armor
Only 15 minutes from the campsite, Paimpol a coastal character town, will enchant you. With its fishing ports and marinas, restaurants and shops, teeming with life throughout the year on the quays of the town of Icelanders (so-called owing to local fishermen going to Iceland in the 1800s). Lose yourself in alleyways as full of charm as ever, watch out for its magnificent shipowners’ houses and do not miss the small port of Loguivy de la Mer.
One kilometre from the campsite on the GR 34, you’ll see the Moulin de Craca windmill and its imposing structure loom up. It is a point of reference for schooners. A little further on, the village of Pontrieux is located, able to retain its authenticity throughout the centuries. Stroll through the streets and along the river to admire the half-timbered houses and facades and fifty wash houses.
Upon leaving Pontrieux, go and see the Roche Jagu castle, its defensive enclosure and courtyard. This medieval castle dating back to the 15th century, is surrounded by parks and gardens perfect for a walk as a family. Lastly, don’t pass up the opportunity to go to the heavenly island of Bréhat. You’ll be mesmerized by the beauty and richness of its fauna, flora and wild creeks. Entirely pedestrianized, this island is home to more than 120 species of animals and is dubbed the “Island of Flowers”, owing to the numerous floral species on display, such as hydrangeas, mimosas, mulberry trees, eucalypti and camellias…
