Established 500 metres from the entrance to the Château de Chambord grounds, the Château des Marais is a campsite rated 5 star, located in Muides sur Loire. The site occupies the grounds of a delightful country house, from which it takes its name, and which stretches over a surface area of 14 hectares. Superbly laid out, there is a multitude of hundred-year-old trees under which 81 pitches and 255 plots accommodating holiday rental accommodation have been laid out.
The pitches intended for campers and their tent, caravan or camper van enjoy a large surface area are entirely laid to lawn, having a 10-amp electrical connection and a mains water connection. The most spacious fall within the 4-star Sandaya range, and extend over a surface area of 120 m²!
The holiday rental accommodation on this Loir et Cher campsite consists of luxury and modern cottages and chalets. Moreover to meet the demands of glamping lovers, you are able to stay in a superb treetop cabin in the Château des Marais campsite. A holiday resort which could not be more out-of-the-ordinary, where so that its residents can enjoy even greater comfort, sheets, towels and pillows are supplied on arrival and breakfast is offered…

Just a stone’s throw from Chambord, this 5 star campsite offers its residents many high-quality facilities. For example they may make the most of a reception where they are able to be provided with a multitude of tourist advice, Wi-Fi coverage across the whole of the campsite (for an additional charge). In addition they can be given access to a launderette, a bicycle hire service and pedal go-karts, sports equipment hire and other facilities.
Moreover there are various shops that have been set up on the campsite. For example, this is the case with the mini-market, the bakery, the 2 restaurants, “Le Catalpa”, with generous and traditional cuisine, as well as “La Pasteria” where it is possible to enjoy Italian dishes within modern surroundings which are friendly nevertheless. Various luxury and leisure facilities have also been put in place on the campsite, amongst which is one of the loveliest aquatic parks in the Loire Valley. This is made up of 4 heated basins, 2 water slides, a multi-slide, a paddling pool, a lagoon and a wild river. In total, there is an aquatic surface area of 636 m² leaving everyone completely free make the most of the delights of water.

Another noteworthy facility, is a well-being space which enables holidaymakers wishing to do so to treat themselves to a few hours relaxation and unwinding, during their stay at the Château des Marais campsite. Access is reserved for adults and teenagers accompanied by an adult only.
Amongst the variety of other leisure facilities established within the campsite, we should mention the playground, a tennis court, a mini-golf course, a multi-sports ground, ping-pong tables and a badminton court. In addition the campsite has open-air fitness equipment, as well as an area for playing boules.
Open during July and August, the children’s and teenagers’ clubs at the Le Château des Marais campsite enable youngsters aged 5 to 17 to have fun and meet up more easily through water play activities, games, sports tournaments and other activities, all organised by our motivated and energetic activity leaders!
So as to chat and have fun together, youngsters can go into the video games area, open for them throughout the campsite season. This is equipped with video games, arcade machines, table football and other facilities…there is plenty for children to have fun here during their stay in Muides sur Loire.
