A family campsite by the Venetian Lagoon
Booking your holiday on the Miramare campsite, guarantees you a convivial and cheerful stay for young and old alike! The Boscolo family, which has managed this establishment for 40 years prides itself in accommodating holidaymakers within a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. From the variety of accommodation to the catering, swimming areas and sports pursuits, to the quality of the activities, everything has been thought out to guarantee you a truly unforgettable stay!
Lovers of traditional camping can set up their tent, caravan, converted van or camper on the pitches laid to lawn, with varying degrees of shade, depending on where there is vegetation on-site. Particular attention is paid to the maintenance and cleanliness of the recently refurbished communal sanitary blocks, whilst two specific areas on the campsite are laid out to accommodate campers, accompanied by their faithful four-legged friends.
If you wish to recharge your batteries as close as possible to nature but do not have the necessary camping equipment, cosy, spacious and fully equipped chalets which can accommodate up to 6 people are available for hire. In the heart of the camping village and just a stone’s throw from the beach, there is a lovely water park, with two swimming pools, one set aside for children.
A festive and sports holiday by the sea
On the Miramare campsite, the emphasis is placed on leisure and sports activities for the entire family. A motivated activity team with infectious joy, is responsible for amusing children with the mini club activities or holidaymakers right on the beach! Play areas and ping-pong tables are spread over the site as well as football pitches, basketball, beach volleyball and tennis courts. Tennis includes a charge. For a snack, go to the ice cream vendor to enjoy a delicious Italian ice cream!
Seafood, Venetian specialities, generous pasta dishes and delicious pizzas are on offer at the campsite restaurant, where you’ll be able to enjoy these dishes in the restaurant or on the terrace as you like! To easily move around the campsite and surrounding area, there is a bicycle hire service on offer to holidaymakers on-site.
Direct access to the private beach adjoining the campsite, with fine sand and neatly lined up rows of parasols, is a further benefit of Miramare. You can have a walk along the Sottomarina beach, swim in the Adriatic Sea, build sandcastles with you children and perfect your suntan in the Italian sunshine. The coastal region running along the Gulf of Venice is particularly renowned for the quality of the tourist facilities and diversity of leisure activities on offer to holidaymakers.
Discover the island of Chioggia and Venice (the Serenissima)
A small coastal town running alongside the Venetian Lagoon, Chioggia is dubbed Italy’s “Little Venice” for the numerous similarities with the City of the Doges. It is much less touristy and truly worth the detour, owing to the nine bridges spanning the Vena canal, including the famous Vigo bridge, romantic fishing boats, canals and the impressive Santa Maria Assunta cathedral. In the evening, you’ll love strolling on the “Corso del Popolo” avenue and sitting down on the terrace to enjoy an aperitif.
The campsite reception teams will show you the timetables for the water-buses (vaporetto) and public transport heading for Venice, Padua or Verona. There are a great many towns and cities of art, historical and heritage significance to visit in the Veneto. The lagoon islands of Murano, famous for the long tradition of making coloured glass, and Burano, with the charming multi-coloured house facades will leave you with magnificent memories of your stay in Venice.
If you wish to spend a day in slow tourism mode, go south to the Parco Delta Del Po national park. You’ll recharge your batteries by pedalling on the banks of the Po river tributaries, or see the wild countryside from a boat sailing amongst reeds and lagoons. You can also hike and discreetly watch nature’s ballet here from a canoe.
