A 4 star campsite in the Aveyron department
At the confluence of the Tarn and Dourbie rivers, Millau is amongst the towns where the modern blends perfectly with authenticity. Located at the heart of the Aveyron département and opposite the Viaduct, which has enabled Millau to win international renown, is the 4 star campsite Les Rivages. An establishment with the manifest will to each year move upmarket, to offer its holidaymakers the ultimate stay combining well being, rest, entertainment and discoveries.
The grounds upon which this campsite is established extend over a surface area of nearly 7 hectares. With more than 600 trees covering the site, it goes without saying that nature is omnipresent here. The Dourbie river flows below the campsite, and holidaymakers who wish to can even enjoy a large natural pebble beach to have a swim in clear and crystalline water. Millau town centre is 15 minutes away on foot or by taking the cycle path.
Les Rivages has spacious pitches intended to accommodate campers and their tents, caravans, converted vans and camper vans. It also offers holidaymakers the chance to put down their bags in ultra-comfortable holiday rentals. These bring together mobile homes, a duplex studio, fitted out in a former attic room and lodge tents for lovers of glamping.

Amongst the shops and services on this establishment, there is a grocery as well as a bar - restaurant, including the terrace which overlooks the campsite’s water park. This bar – restaurant also serves as a snack – pizzeria and takeaway. Here you can also enjoy delicious ice creams and have an apéritif at the end of the day.
As previously mentioned, the aquatic area is the location’s leading facility. This consists of a large swimming pool, paddling pool with children’s water games, water slides and balneotherapy area. All the pools are heated. It is worth noting that each season the swimming pool accommodates aquagym sessions.
This establishment also has several sports and leisure facilities, such as a multi-sports ground, outdoor fitness equipment, ping pong tables, beach volleyball and pétanque courts and other facilities. For the very young, a playground with play equipment and a trampoline are on hand, so they can have fun together!
At the gateway to the Causses limestone plateaus and Cévennes mountain range
Moreover, if children wish to have even more fun, what better than taking part in activities, games and other entertainment organised by the campsite’s mini-clubs. These are open throughout the entire campsite season and accommodate children aged 5 to 12. Teenagers aged 13 to 17 can take part in sports tournaments and group trips. In summer, evenings are the chance to gather together holidaymakers around shows, concerts or indeed themed evenings, all organised in one of the most festive and convivial atmospheres!
In the vicinity of the campsite, various players in tourism offer their services to holidaymakers. You can thus go down the gorges of the Dourbie and the Tarn rivers by canoe, go rock climbing, bungee jumping, canyoning, and have your first go at paragliding, treetop adventure, stand-up paddle boarding and vélo rail (a group activity pedalling on old railway tracks) and your first walks in the area…all within an area of ten or so kilometres at most around Millau!
Lastly, going to the Les Rivages campsite for a stay of a few days or a few weeks is an occasion to go out and explore the tourist treasures of the Aveyron region. Equally lovely and varied these include, as well as the town of Millau and its viaduct, the fortified Knights Templar town of La Couvertoirade, and dramatic limestone rock formations of the Chaos de Montpellier-le-Vieux. Other must-sees are Micropolis (a museum inspired by the film ‘Microcosmos’), the Causse du Larzac limestone plateau, Peyrelade castle, Roquefort caves, and superb gorges carved by the Tarn and Dourbie rivers and much more besides.
