To enjoy a hot drink or order a “takeaway” meal, go to the snack bar - cafe. As to services, every morning the Koningshof Park Shop offers fresh bread, as well as sweetbreads and buns to accompany your breakfast. The perfect starting point for your trips in Zuid Holland

Perfectly located near Holland’s loveliest towns, the area around Rijnsburg also abounds in locations with unique charm, such as the seaside resorts of Katwijk, Noordwijk, Scheveningen and Zandvoort. They offer swimmers beaches with their own atmosphere. Somewhat family-orientated, Katwijk is a good choice for a day at the beach with all your family. The city of Leydenis is well known for its centuries-old architecture and for its university, the oldest in the country, founded in 1575. The university is home to the Hortus Botanicus Leiden botanical garden, which dates back to 1590. This is where the tulip was introduced to Western Europe ! Keukenhof is one of the most beautiful floral parks in the Netherlands. Located in the municipality of Lisse, it is equidistant between Haarlem to the north and Leiden to the south. Open from mid-March to mid-May, it is visited by nearly 1.5 million visitors each year.

The most famous port city in The Netherlands is only 45 minutes by road from the campsite. Rotterdam, this modern graphic city with colourful houses, is a perfect multicultural mix. Come lunchtime, the Markthal Rotterdam indoor market is a compulsory stop in the heart of the city. With its 96 eating outlets, the covered market is a feast for both the eyes and taste buds.

Amsterdam is also easily accessible by public transport from the Koningshof campsite. Go off to explore the city, strolling around its alleyways on foot. Start with the historic centre to catch a glimpse of Dam Square and the flower market. Climb aboard one of the typical Dutch boats to contemplate the city’s architecture from its canals.
