Once settled in, your holiday can start. Head for the campsite water park, where a large lagoon awaits you for water games and spells of idleness on the warm sand. A few kilometres away from the campsite, the Côte Sauvage beach, close to the famous Phare de la Coubre lighthouse, renowned for its protected natural setting and waves is the perfect spot to indulge in surfing and water sports. More sheltered, the La Palmyre beach is ideal for families, whilst the Bonne Anse beach is perfect for watching the sunset.

For the whole of your stay, a range of recreational and sports activities for all the family is offered by the campsite activity team. There is aquagym, stretching the muscles, fitness and yoga but also football, pétanque and ping-pong tournaments. You can have matches on the multi-sports ground. You can teach your children to play chess on the giant chessboard, before dropping them off at the mini club, if they’re aged 6 to 12.
Around the Les Couleurs de la Coubre campsite, there are treetop adventure courses, stables for horse or pony riding, a karting circuit and “Luna Park” theme park. You can also go paintballing or play laser tag. Not forgetting water sports, such as sand yachting, kitesurfing, windsurfing, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding.

The Promenade des Deux Phares cycling and walking route leads you from one beach to the other, making the most of a breathtaking view over the ocean. The impressive Zoo de la Palmyre zoo, with 1,600 mammals, birds and reptiles, fascinates young and old alike for an unforgettable day. At the end of the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a drink on the terrace, and a walk around the town’s evening market.
Walk to Mornac-sur-Seudre
Be sure to visit Royan, the seaside resort renowned for its modern architecture, Belle-Epoque residences and villas from the 1950s. You can do a little shopping in the Pontaillac district and picnic on the Grande Conche beach. Lastly, go for a walk round the island of Oléron accessible by car. You’ll fall in love with the magnificent beaches, salt marshes and picturesque villages.
