Signol, a luxury campsite on the Ile d’Oléron island
It is, without doubt, one of the loveliest campsites on the island of Oléron! Signol – yes that is its name – is located in Boyardville, a delightful seaside district, within the town of Saint Georges d’Oléron, named of course after the iconic Fort Boyard (a 19th century sea fort)…A member of the Oléla group, this 5-star campsite invites you to spend an unforgettable holiday on the island of Oléron!
Dream holidays in Boyardville!
Open from April to September, the Signol campsite each year accommodates numerous holidaymakers who always enjoy its benefits. Amongst these, is its location which could not be more idyllic, since hardly 150 metres separates it from leading shops and services in Boyardville. This small fishing village has nowadays become an entirely separate seaside resort, which is hardly ten minutes by road from the town centre of Saint Georges d’Oléron. The nearest beach is accessible on foot and is located 800 metres from the campsite From there, the view of Fort Boyard is breathtaking!
The spot where the Signol campsite is located extends over nearly 8 hectares and accommodates 333 pitches. Wooded throughout, it offers a shady, cool spot and tranquillity to holidaymakers who come to stay there. Moreover such holidaymakers can make the most of a wide choice of on-site accommodation, as there are also mobile homes, chalets and various out-of-the-ordinary holiday rentals. These include, for example, caravans but also cabins resting upon stilts.
Although comfort and quality are features in all of this accommodation, the Prestige range typified by the Prestige cottages amongst others, provides a touch of additional luxury to this already high-end campsite, on the Ile d’Oléron. Especially as each cottage comes with a private Jacuzzi…
Besides this accommodation, there are also traditional pitches on-site to accommodate tents, caravans and campers. Heated sanitary facilities, with private cubicles and a themed children’s area, are on hand.
Wellness and relaxation by the sea
A sheer temple of wellness, leisure and relaxation, the Signol campsite has numerous facilities and services to meet its residents’ needs. Although 150 metres divide the campsite from the shops in Boyardville, there are already other such shops on-site. It is particularly the case with the grocer's shop, which accommodates within its premises a stand selling fresh bread and sweet breads and buns such such as brioches, croissants and pains au chocolat. Equally so having the catering area, with a bar and snack bar offering pizzas, chips, paninis and many more dishes besides, either to savour on-site or enjoy as a takeaway on your pitch.
Amongst the other services offered on this 5-star campsite on Oléron, we can mention access to the Wi-Fi network, bicycle hire but also hire of other items. These include a baby kit, household linen, a gas barbecue and other similar equipment. It is worth noting that in addition to the two sanitary blocks scattered across the site, the Signol campsite is equipped with a fully fitted out launderette (including washing machines and tumble dryers).

This consists of a large indoor area, with a heated swimming pool, a paddling pool equipped with children’s games, balneotherapy jets, a sauna and a steam room. Outside, there is another heated swimming pool, 3 water slides and a paddling pool equipped with children’s games. Two indoor and heated splash pads for the very young complete the complex.
To stay in shape whilst on holiday, there is nothing better than a little physical exercise. Although a morning jog on the beach opposite Fort Boyard may be what some yearn for, others do not need to leave the campsite for sports activities. The campsite indeed has a multi-sports ground, a beach volleyball court, an area for playing petanque, ping-pong tables and a fitness centre with free access.
