An unforgettable holiday on le Moulinal
South of Biron, a small village dominated by an imposing castle on the border of the Dordogne and the Lot and Garonne, lies 4-star campsite Le Moulinal. Established by a lake, Le Moulinal is a Périgord campsite, which is a member of the Capfun group.
High-end facilities for everybody
Although it is harder to find good quality campsites in inland areas than on the coast, Le Moulinal is the exception. This establishment, located some 50 kilometres from Sarlat, in the heart of the Perigord, strikes with the quality of its environment, its facilities and its setting.
Located in a green 18-acres wooded park in the middle of which lies a charming little pond, there is no doubt that a stay at le Moulinal is the opportunity to recharge your batteries in the middle of nature and to breath in a good bowl of fresh air every morning.
The only thing you need to do is set up your tent, caravan or camper on one of the many pitches provided for this purpose. Some of these pitches have a garden shed with a fridge and a table with six chairs and two sun loungers, to the disposal of the guests.
All of this allows a quality stay, and it is the same for anyone who would like to spend a few days or some weeks in one of the many rentals found on le Moulinal. From the simple furnished tent to the various mobile homes and chalets, everybody can find what he's looking for and enjoy a high quality accommodation.
One of the most beautiful water parks of the Dordogne
Although the accommodation is exceedingly comfortable, what about the facilities dotted around the property? They are many and will entertain the whole family, like the water park of le Moulinal.
It consists of a large indoor swimming pool, an outdoor pool of 300 m², two paddling pools and four water slides. One of them is simply said worthy of an amusement park. Its name? The Spacebowl. With a length of several dozens of meters, its particularity is to be equipped with a trap in which the tourists, taller than one metre twenty, will slide! Le Moulinal is the only campsite in France with a Spacebowl on its property.
Although the water park is the real heart of the establishment, it should also be mentioned that it is possible to swim in the lake which is next to the aquatic park. A magnificent sandy beach allows to go safely into the water, but also to sunbathe in idleness and to enjoy traditional summer tanning sessions! The pond is also full of fish, so it is possible to practise fishing without needing a permit.
In high season, the camping also boasts a children's club and a teens club, so young people can have fun together and they give the parents some free time. In the evening, different activities are planned such as disco, karaoke and cinema evenings and other events.

It's impossible to get bored when you stay on Le Moulinal campsite. On the border of the Lot et Garonne and the Dordogne, in the heart of the Perigord, this establishment is surrounded by many important tourist sites.
The history of Perigord can be discovered by visiting the medieval citadels of Monpazier, Monflanquin, Villereal, the castles of Biron, Gavaudun, Bonaguil or by walking through the paved streets of the old regional towns and villages, like Sarlat. The historical heritage of this town is so important that many movies have been filmed here...
The Périgord, crossed by the Dordogne River, offers tourists unique natural landscapes. Here we find some of the most beautiful villages of France, like La Roque Gageac, but also many caves and other prehistoric holes. The most famous is of course the cave of Lascaux, located at 80 kilometres from the campsite.
