It must be said that there are many leisure facilities on the Saint Avit campsite, the leading one of course being the superb water park, comprising an indoor and heated section as well as an outdoor area.
Whoever says luxury campsite, also says amazing water slides. On Saint Avit Loisirs these take the form of, besides water slides with twists and turns and semi-tubular slides, a “crazy river”, a gently sloping river that you can slide down on an inflatable ring!
As its name suggests, the aqua-relax is a facility entirely given over to aquatic wellness. It is worth noting that a water slide, with a length of 65 metres, connects the water park and the aqua-relax area!
Whilst swimmers make the most of this exceptional water park, some guests enjoy the campsite's 14,000 m² lake for fishing. Saint Avit Loisirs enjoys an exceptional location in the Dordogne! Settled in the municipality of Saint-Avit-de-Vialard, in the heart of the Black Perigord, it lies in the middle of the triangle formed by the towns of Périgueux, Bergerac and Sarlat.
The latter counts among the most beautiful villages of France. With its cobbled streets and houses with medieval façades, every year it witnesses several thousand lovers of heritage and old buildings visit. The Dordogne is a Department with many charming villages, such as La Roque Gageac and Monpazier.
It is also a land of castles and bastides, in the middle of which flows the beautiful Dordogne Valley, which can be canoed down. In this Department there are also many prehistoric caves. The Lascaux Cave is one such masterpiece, proving that the Dordogne was inhabited as far back as the Palaeolithic age...
Lastly, the Périgord is also famous for its gastronomy and wines... Truffle, nuts, foie gras and duck magret, wines of Bergerac and Domme, all among the most famous products of the Department!
