A luxury campsite in Soulac sur Mer...
Established by the sea, along the Pointe du Médoc, the Soulac Plage campsite is one of the best open-air hotels in the Gironde. The grounds, which stretch over a surface area of 12 hectares, turn out to comprise a holiday resort with a multitude of advantages. Nestling in the heart of the Médoc forest, it has direct beach access and is situated only a few minutes by road from the town centre of the seaside resort of Soulac sur Mer.
A few kilometres further north, the Pointe du Grave marks the boundary between the Gironde Estuary and the Atlantic Ocean. From there, it is possible to take a ferry to Royan and discover the treasures of the Charente Maritime. At the same time, to the south of the campsite, lovers of swimming and surfing are greeted by the sight of the long beaches of the Côte d’Argent. The Lac d’Hourtin and the Étang de Lacanau (both spectacular lakes) are not much further on, as well as the most famous vineyards of the Médoc region: The grounds indeed have nearly 800 pitches, including a large proportion which are nowadays occupied by mobile homes and furnished tents.
Cottages with a sea view…
Some of these mobile homes even have a panoramic view over the ocean! Just perfect for enabling their occupants to have breakfast opposite the Atlantic Ocean…The most top-of-the-range cottages, in the Premium range, have air conditioning and a multitude of other services and additional facilities.
Lastly, other plots are reserved for traditional campers. They can pitch a tent, or park a caravan or a camper van on pitches having a surface area ranging from 80 m² to 100 m², and with a mains electricity connection.
Once settled in, it only remains for holidaymakers to make the most of the direct access to the beach to go onto the vast stretch of sand and to indulge in idleness, whilst children can have fun building superb sandcastles. Those who wish to can also take advantage of the numerous recreational and sports facilities scattered across the location.
This is in particular the case with the superb aquatic park at the Soulac Plage campsite. It is comprised of 550 m² of pools spread over three swimming pools, one of which is indoor and heated. You can also find a 4-lane multi-slide, a Jacuzzi, a water play mushroom, as well as a children’s paddling pool.
Aquatic park and recreational facilities...
The aquatic area is favourable to arranging a multitude of activities, such as aquaerobics and water polo tournaments. In summer, pool evenings are also organised.
In the vicinity of the swimming pools, holidaymakers can also encounter fitness equipment. Barely going much further, there are other other sports facilities: a multi-sports ground, a pétanque terrain, ping-pong tables, as well as a volleyball court.
The Soulac Plage campsite also has a Kids Parc (“Kids Park”) and a children’s playground. Moreover, no less than 3 mini-clubs are open during the summer season; a Kids’ Club, a Juniors’ Club, as well as a Teens’ Club.
Other entertainment is set aside for adults, such as the introduction to œnology (the science and study of wine and winemaking). Lastly in the evening, during the summer season, concerts, shows and other lively performances await all campsite residents!
