Far more than just a campsite, a luxury resort in the heart of the Landes

Finally, the third swimming area comprises a 1,200 m² aquatic park including, besides a covered heated swimming pool, three pools, a paddling pool with aqua play zone and mini water slides for the very young, 3-lane multi-slide and tubing slide. And that’s without mentioning the balneotherapy area, with a counter-current river and benches nestling under waterfalls and geysers, all of which contribute to the backdrop of this truly breathtaking water park.
Biscarrosse, a perfect destination on the Aquitaine coast
Nestling in Biscarrosse, Mayotte Vacances campsite has its own private marina and beach, which although it doesn’t overlook the sea, you can still swim in a lake steeped in history. Lake Biscarrosse is well known as the historic home of the testing base for Latécoère seaplanes. Their pilots, foremost among them Jean Mermoz and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, made history with the French Aéropostale aviation and airmail service.
Today, there are no more seaplanes on the horizon, save in the museum dedicated to them in Biscarrosse! However, the lake offers countless water sports, making it one of the most popular tourist attractions on the Aquitaine coast.
