A waterfront campsite
The Sanguinet Plage campsite joined the Sandaya group at the beginning of the 2019 season. Previously called Les Grands Pins, this campsite is one of the most top-of-the-range open-air hotels in the Landes department. Rated 5 star, it enjoys a setting which could not be any more advantageous, as it occupies a pine forest running alongside the Etang de Cazaux et de Sanguinet lake
Its grounds are practically by the lakeside, as holidaymakers simply need to cross a road to get to its sandy beaches which sink gently into the lake. The campsite extends over in excess of around 10 hectares, within which nestles a mix of holiday rentals and caravanning pitches.
The plots are spacious and all marked out by hedgerows. They easily enable the accommodation of campers and their tent, caravan and camper, whilst maintaining everyone’s privacy. The holiday rentals take the form of cottages and gypsy caravans. In total, there are 8 ranges of different holiday rentals, with an accommodation capacity of between 4 to 10 people.
This has a highly delightful terrace, in addition to an indoor section, and you can even enjoy local specialities, the Landes department and more broadly south-west France being renowned for their excellence in gastronomy.
Amongst the Sanguinet Plage’s other services, we should mention the snack bar, the communal barbecue areas, the equipment and bike hire, the grocery, the bakery service and even the Wi-Fi connection.
In addition Sanguinet Plage has a multitude of facilities and equipment, so as to meet holidaymakers’ needs for sports and fun. It is particularly the case with its water park, a genuine temple for swimming and water play delights. This comprises an indoor heated pool, an outdoor pool with whirlpool baths, a water garden for the very young, a children’s water play area, “l’Aqua Caraïbes”, having mini-water slides, water jets, a rain curtain and others, as well as various large slides, including a vortex slide and a multi-lane slide.

A further solution for swimming is the Plage de Caton beach and swimming lake (part of the Lac de Sanguinet lake) adjoining the campsite. Moreover, there is a leisure base here, thus enabling those who wish to the chance to indulge in the delights of sailing, jet skiing, pedalos, paddle boarding, the hydrojet Oxoon and other such facilities.
The other amenities on this campsite include a children’s playground, a bouncy castle, ping-pong tables, a games room with billiards, table football and video games, a pétanque court, a multisports ground, a beach volleyball court as well as a tennis court. As regards activities, adults are able to take part in aquaerobics sessions, fitness classes and other activities.
Furthermore, Sanguinet Plage offers 3 mini-clubs; all open during the high season. The Kids club accommodates those aged 5 to 7, the Juniors club children aged 8 to 12 years, whilst the Teens club takes care of those aged 13 to 17. In the evening parents and children meet up around a lovely meal, and can then make the most of evening entertainment: shows, concerts and dance evenings take place in a friendly and festive atmosphere.
The Sanguinet Plage campsite enjoys an amazing location on the shores of the Etang de Cazaux et de Sanguinet lake. This perfect location enables guests to tour around one of the most popular tourist regions of France using the campsite as a base. There are a number of significant tourist attractions located close to this establishment such as the Dune du Pilat sand dune, the Cap Ferret headland, the Arcachon Basin, the beaches of Biscarrosse and others. As regards outdoor adventure, you can do canoeing on the Leyre river, horse riding owing to the equestrian centre Equi Aventure, have karting races on the circuit at the Kart Center Biscarrosse and so on....
