Camping Soustons Village

The L’Étang de Soustons lake, a classified Natura 2000 natural site (for rare and threatened species), is just a stone’s throw from the campsite. Holidaymakers staying with us can go there very quickly and easily on foot, this lake being barely 200 metres from the campsite entrance. Some 6 kilometres away from the campsite, swimmers, surfers and other lovers of idleness on the sand are greeted by the sight of the ocean beaches. Lastly, around the campsite, the Landes forest (the Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park) extends as far as the eye can see. In, truth, the pines and cork oaks which comprise the forest make it the largest forest in Western Europe…

The campsite, which stretches across the pine forest over a 14-hectare surface area, has 282 pitches in total. All are occupied by holiday rental accommodation, which takes the form of cottages, chalets and canvas lodges. Soustons Village having developed from the outset a particular ecological calling, these holiday rentals have been thought out to combine the comfort of modern accommodation with respect for the environment and the countryside.

Some 14 hectares of delight in the middle of the forest...

Meeting perfectly the expectations of today’s holidaymakers, these holiday rentals delight those who put their bags down there. They are all equipped with a fridge/freezer, a microwave oven, a television with a DVD player and other facilities. Amongst the most luxurious, the new Premium chalets have, in addition, to the unique style provided by their design and their authentic materials, air conditioning and the multitude of services included. These include the Wi-Fi network connection, end-of-stay cleaning and other facilities.

So as to encourage environmentally-friendly practices, this 5-star campsite, Soustons, is entirely pedestrianised. Holidaymakers are thus invited to park their vehicle at the entrance to the campsite, whilst a “bellboy” service is responsible for carrying your bags to your accommodation. Moreover, this forms part of the countless list of services available to holidaymakers at Soustons Village. Amongst these, for example, there is a launderette, an excursions booking office, an area for equipment hire and even a shuttle bus, which enables a connection between the campsite to the beaches of the Côte d’Argent during July and August.

Moreover, several shops complete the list of available services, such as a grocery, a snack bar and even the bar-restaurant “La Terrasse”. The latter offers a wide selection of dishes typical of the Landes gastronomy and of south-west France, but also the more traditional dishes, either to enjoy either on-site or as a takeaway.

For holidays which respect the countryside...

A genuine temple for swimming, the aquatic park of Soustons Village surprises you both by the quality of its facilities, but also and especially by that of its swimming water. We should mention that the swimming water, which is entirely natural, is partly treated using plants! A lagoon pool, with an area of 300 m² is located there, including part which is indoor over a surface area of nearly 100 m². The very young, can have fun thanks to a 200 m² splash pad! It is worth noting that this aquatic area also has a wave pool, and that all of its pools are heated from June to September, the indoor swimming pool also being heated from April.

This open-air Landes hotel also has a spa and well-being area. It comprises a steam room, a sauna, a Jacuzzi, a gym as well as beauty treatment and massage cubicles. This is the perfect place to relax and keep fit whilst taking a refreshing break in the country at the Soustons Village campsite!

Amongst the other facilities of this establishment, note the presence of a multi-sports ground, 2 tennis courts, an area for playing boules, a beach volleyball court, ping-pong tables, children’s playgrounds, as well as 3 children’s and teenagers’ clubs. Moreover, there are various activities on offer to holidaymakers, such as aquaerobics sessions, sophrology (a structured method for health and well-being), archery, trips in small boats, cycle rides, fitness sessions and even dance sessions. A personal trainer can also look after holidaymakers who request this!
