Cosy Camp, nature and well-being for a luxury campsite in Auvergne
By one of the most majestic rivers in France, the Loire, which is simply in this location a calm and peaceful watercourse meandering amongst its gorges, CosyCamp
An entirely unique concept for the Auvergne
CosyCamp is offering you what is, in fact, an entirely unique concept for the Auvergne. At the heart of this magnificent site of the Loire gorges, in a place where nature reigns supreme and where tranquillity is ingrained into the way of life, this high-end establishment invites you to come and recharge your batteries and relax in a region full of surprises!
Blending to perfection the comfort of a modern campsite with out-of-the-ordinary glamping, all within idyllic and verdant surroundings, CosyCamp is an establishment with a human dimension. Its site extends over a surface area of four hectares by the water. Particular attention has been paid to landscaping the surroundings and the numerous gardens dotted across the park. Thus, the vegetable, medicinal plants, aromatic plants, and the fragrant gardens, the orchard, and indeed the maze for children, turn out to be pleasant spaces, lending themselves to a casual stroll.
It could be the other side of the world (or perhaps even paradise). A little more than an hour from Lyons, on the road from Puy en Velay, this is definitely worth the detour. Far from mass tourism, this luxury campsite in Auvergne offers you one of the most original and authentic holiday experiences.
For reasons of increased safety but also to reduce noise as much as pollution, holiday-makers are invited to park their car in a secure car park situated at the entry to the site. Trolleys are available so as to transport their luggage to their accommodation.
This accommodation is, justifiably, as diverse as original. Apart from these traditional cottages, tailor-made, comfortable and spacious (with an area of 50 m²), to accommodate to up 6 or 8 people, we thus find at
Quality facilities blend into their surroundings
Although the glamping aspect has been highly developed within this establishment, traditional camping is not however forgotten. Holidaymakers who wish to may still make the most of spacious pitches with surface areas varying between 100 m² to 200 m² to set up their tent, their caravan or their camper. These verdant plots are all equipped with a 16 amp electricity connection.
Established on the site, quality facilities ensure that holiday-makers will have a pleasant, delightful and indeed relaxing stay. Amongst these facilities, there is a heated outdoor pool of 200 m², as well as a paddling pool, ensuring that even very young children can take advantage of the delights of water. For those who prefer swimming in the wild, the Loire, the waters of which flow peacefully by the edge of the campsite, turns out to be a very pleasant natural swimming pool when sunny days put in an appearance.
Moreover to personally hit the spot after swimming, there is nothing better than stopping by the Cosy Corner, the wellness space on the site. The latter has been set up in the heart of the fragrance garden and houses a 15 m² heated Roman spa. A whirlpool bath, a counter-current swimming pool, coloured lighting and sub-aquatic music make the Cosy Corner a true temple of relaxation, and all the more so as one may also have a massage (various solutions are offered such as a Swedish massage or even better a plant reflexology session).
This campsite at Chamalières sur Loire also has a “living space” where we find not only reception, but also the bar, the restaurant, a “barefoot” zone with a TV corner, library, board games, wooden games of the past and other similar facilities. Outside, children may also take advantage of a play area to enjoy themselves.
At the heart of an amazing tourist region
Come the evening, holidaymakers staying at CosyCamp may enjoy delicious meals served at the campsite restaurant. The latter promotes local specialities and, as often as possible, local and/or organic products! After the meal, everyone is invited to share in a convivial interlude around a Norwegian-style fire; a camp fire which could not be more warming…
Although everything is done to make holidaymakers feel good, rest and enjoy themselves on the campsite, they may also take advantage of their stay to go out and explore the region. The region conceals numerous gems which are simply asking to be discovered. It is thus possible to go down the Loire in a canoe, finishing right at
The Vallée de l’Emblavez, as well as the Pays du Velay, are amongst the most visited tourist sites in the Auvergne. The town of Le Puy en Velay, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, focuses on numerous historic monuments, starting with its cathedral, the starting point of the
