Jugon les Lacs, a small village with charm in Brittany
The stronghold of Penthièvre during the period of the Duchy of Brittany, the village of Jugon still boasts a significant historic heritage, especially around its main square, where the visitor can discover beautiful granite residences and magnificent façades of half-timbered houses. Today calm and quiet, this small city hides an important strategic role in the history of Brittany. The bordering pond proofs this, since it was formerly the first defensive curtain of the castle, fully dismantled in the 17th century according to the will of cardinal Richelieu.
It is 800 metres from the central square of Jugon and on the edge of this beautiful pond, perfect for fishing and water activities, that we find nowadays the 4-star campsite Au Bocage du Lac. It is undoubtedly the most beautiful camping resort between Dinan and Saint Brieuc. Less than 30 minutes from the sea, guests can easily reach the Côte d'Emeraude. Here they can discover the pirate city of Saint Malo, the castle of Fort La Latte, or even the famous Cap Fréhel.
Lamballe, Moncontour, Erquy or Combourg are also among the must-see sites during a stay on this campsite in Jugon. But the idyllic location is not the only asset of the place.
A water park next to the lake
On the Bocage du Lac campsite, holidaymakers can pitch their tent, or set up their caravan or camper on spacious pitches, delimited by abundant foliage, guaranteeing their occupants peace and privacy.
They can also rent comfortable chalets and mobile homes. Well equipped and accommodating 2 to 6 persons, they are ideal for those who wish to combine the comfort of a rental accommodation with the freedom of the outdoors. Modern and designer, many of the mobile homes can enjoy a view over the lake.
Between Dinan and Saint Brieuc
Once settled in, Bocage du Lac holidaymakers have the opportunity to make the most of all of the campsite’s leisure facilities. There's for example a great Water Park close to the pond. It includes a 25-metre outdoor pool, heated and equipped with a leisure pool, a water slide and a paddling pool for the children. Around this pool, a huge sunbathing area offers visitors the opportunity to get a suntan while enjoying a pleasant view over the water. In 2018, the outdoor water park was equipped with new thrill-seeker water slides, for even greater pleasure.
The campsite also has a kids outdoor play area, mini farm, pétanque court and volleyball court.
Lastly, an entertainment hall and a bar are located opposite the Etang de Jugon natural lake. Campers coming to the "Crousty'Lac” snack bar, will be able to sample a cocktail or a snack, whilst enjoying a magnificent panoramic view!
