Le Châtelet - a luxury campsite on the Côte d’Emeraude coast

A 5 star campsite by the sea
On the Côte d’Emeraude coast, no other establishment of an equivalent standing to Le Châtelet can boast offering residents such a lovely panorama. Located in grounds of 9 hectares, laid out on the heights of a cliff, it overlooks the magnificent La Fresnaye bay, the Le Châtelet headland, and an inlet both wild and heavenly…Opposite the campsite, on the northern side of the above-mentioned bay, is the Fort La Latte castle. It is most certainly one of Brittany’s most famous citadels, and stands proudly facing the English Channel.
Delightfully wooded and in bloom, peaceful and well maintained, the grounds in which this campsite are located prove to be a perfect holiday resort for those wishing to stay in the north of Brittany. There are numerous pitches with greenery, including some enjoying a panoramic view over the sea and the...oyster parks! Although some of them are reserved for accommodating campers and their tent, caravan or camper, others are nowadays occupied by very comfortable holiday rentals.
These are split between mobile homes and furnished tents. Fully adapted for a glamping stay, these may take the form of a teepee, safari tents or cocoon tents on stilts! Holidaymakers who wish to can enjoy a wide selection of out-of-the-ordinary accommodation, for an invigorating stay on this Saint Cast le Guildo campsite.
The mobile homes are equally numerous and varied. Amongst the most luxurious are the rentals in the Prestige range, which offer unrivalled comfort, and a magnificent view over the English Channel and Fort La Latte. Moreover in these rentals, holidaymakers enjoy the bedding and towels service provision, available to them for free.

Two lovely beaches are in the immediate vicinity of the campsite (the La Pissotte beach is situated 300 metres from here, whilst the La Fresnaye beach is 500 metres away). Moreover, the latter has direct access to the GR34, the famous Customs’ Officers’ Path, running alongside the Brittany coast. This allows holidaymakers to go to other creeks and beaches on the Côte d’Emeraude. That said, Le Châtelet also has numerous facilities enabling residents to have fun.
Amongst these facilities is a water park consisting of a heated, indoor swimming pool and children’s paddling pool. On the Le Châtelet campsite, there is a small but no less delightful lake. Near here, is some of the campsite’s out-of-the-ordinary accommodation. You can go fishing on the lake.
This Saint Cast le Guildo campsite also has an outdoor fitness area and city stadium, where you can play football, volleyball or basketball. There is a children’s play area, skateboard ramp for lovers of gliding sports, ping-pong tables, pétanque court, giant chessboard and games room (with electronic games and others).

In the high season, a multitude of play and sports activities takes place. Come the evening, various activities are on the menu, and the children’s club is open 6 days a week, welcoming those aged 5 to 12.
By staying on this renowned establishment on the Côte d’Emeraude, holidaymakers moreover have the chance to discover the numerous treasures and tourist attractions in northern Brittany and the Côtes d’Armor and Ille et Vilaine departments.
Amongst the must-see attractions are Saint Malo (the city of privateers), the renowned seaside resort of Dinard, the oyster-farming port of Cancale, the walled town of Dinan or even the Cap Fréhel headland. A little further east, heading for Normandy and the Calvados department, Mont Saint Michel is worth seeing.
