La Mer Blanche, a 4 star campsite in Bénodet
A member of the Maeva group, the La Mer Blanche campsite enjoys an exceptional geographical location in the heart of the seaside resort of Bénodet, in southern Finistère. This establishment occupies wooded 6.5 hectare grounds, and invites you to make the most of the warm, family atmosphere from April to September only 3.5 kilometres from the beaches.
A family and festive campsite in Bénodet
In this large landscaped park, pitches of around 80 m² have been laid out to accommodate tents, caravans, vans and campers. Others have comfortable and fully fitted out mobile homes, consisting of 2, 3, 4 or 6 bedrooms with an equipped kitchen and terrace. These holiday rentals can accommodate up to 12 people! You can shop at the campsite grocery or go to the “Carpe Diem” restaurant, which serves gourmet cuisine either on-site or to take away.
La Mer Blanche is a 4-star campsite in Bénodet with a lovely water park. This consists of two areas. On one side, there is a 200 m² indoor, heated swimming pool with a paddling pool for toddlers. On the other, a large outdoor pool with 4 amazing water slides, including a “Spacebowl” for thrill-seekers, rubber-ring water slide and colourful tube slide. All around the water park, there are chairs and sunloungers enabling you to relax peacefully or quietly read.
During the summer season, holidaymakers wishing to can take part in fitness or aqua tonic sessions and clash during football, ping-pong or pétanque tournaments. This Bénodet campsite is located near the beaches of the Breton Riviera (the closest being 3.5 kilometres from the site!); the holiday is also the perfect opportunity for indulging in water sports, such as catamaran, kitesurfing, sea kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding…
Water slides for loads of thrill-seeking!
Again during summer, from Monday to Friday for two hours per day, a children’s club set aside for those aged 5 to 8 offers colouring and painting activities, as well as outdoor games, supervised by the campsite's activity team. Those aged 9 to 12 meet up at the Junior club for sports tournaments and treasure hunts. At the same time, a games rooms accessible to everyone enables you to play pinball, Breton palet (with metal pucks and a wooden board with rules similar to bowls) and video games.
You can also meet up at the city stadium on La Mer Blanche, clashing over football, basketball, handball and volleyball, whilst young holidaymakers can have fun on the playground with an inflatable play structure, mini climbing wall, slide and ping-pong table. Come the evening, the activity team offers shows, karaoke nights and themed evenings.
On-site, also find a bicycle hire service and set off on the GR34. The Sentier des Douaniers coastal path consists of numerous marked out routes, such as the “Boucle des Corniches” loop in Bénodet. You’ll admire a highly varied coastline here: tidal mudflats with a ship graveyard, the marina, mouth of the Odet river, and La Corniche beaches with their small huts running alongside. You then reach the wild coast and Le Letty lagoon…

Lastly, a further must-see in the region: head off on a excursion aboard the Vedettes de l’Odet trip boat to the Glénan archipelago. This unique spot consists of eight main islands and about ten small islands, arranged in a circle around a little inland sea.
