A 4 star campsite by a beach
A genuine haven of peace and tranquillity, the Le Cabellou Plage is a top-of-the-range campsite in southern Finistère. Located in Concarneau, in the heart of the Breton Cornouaille, this campsite rated 4-star occupies a lush and wooded campsite in the south of this dynamic coastal resort, particularly known for its walled town and its Festival des Filets Bleus (annual Breton-costumed parade with dancing and games).
Just a stone’s throw from the campsite is one of the loveliest beaches in Concarneau. Dubbed “La Belle Etoile” in honour of its star beauty, this fine sandy beach extends over 400 metres and offers a delightful view over the ramparts of the old town, a former fortress of west Brittany. It is possible to go there in less than a minute on foot by taking a little path, and then by crossing a rarely used road.
The Le Cabellou Plage campsite occupies grounds on a human scale. The site has pitches intended to accommodate tents, caravans and campers, but also an entire variety of holiday rentals, including safari tents and several ranges of mobile homes. Amongst the most top-of-the-range cottages, you find Premium Corail and Caraïbes, each able to accommodate respectively 6 to 8 people having 3 bedrooms. Ultra-modern, these holiday rentals are both well equipped and flawlessly integrated into the landscape.
The Blue Caraïbes - a heated aquatic park for the entire family...
Once settled in, holidaymakers can make the most of a multitude of on-site services. The Le Cabellou Plage campsite thus has a restaurant, a snack bar, a bar, the “K’Bel café” with a relaxed and convivial atmosphere, a grocery, a stand selling fresh bread and sweetbreads and buns such as croissants, brioches and pains au chocolat, an equipment-lending service, a kayak hire service, stand up paddle boards, bicycles and pedal go karts. You should also note that the entire campsite has Wi-Fi network coverage.
As regards recreational and sports equipment and facilities, this open-air hotel in southern Finistère has not been left behind since there is, in particular, located on site one of the loveliest aquatic parks of the surrounding area. Nicknamed the “Blue Caraïbes” (“Blue Caribbean”), the latter is surrounded by lush and exotic greenery. It offers the following, over an area in excess of 1,000 m²; a large heated pool as well as a slide area with water slides, a whirlpool bath, a counter-current swimming area, and a large paddling pool with a children’s mini water slide.
During the high season, the campsite’s aquatic area accommodates various types of activities such as aquaerobics, aquatonic (pool exercises involving hydromassage jets), and muscular awakening sessions, water polo tournaments, pool games, night swimming and similar. Moreover other activities are offered in return for payment, such as aquabiking, lessons in swimming and aquaphobia, and others.

The Le Cabellou Plage campsite also has a children’s play area with a bouncy castle, ping pong tables, a beach volleyball court and a pétanque court. Moreover, all throughout the season, activities are offered to holidaymakers. These include sports tournaments but also hikes on the coast path, the GR34, concert evenings, shows and others…
Also note that in July and August, a children’s club opens and accommodates the young aged 5 to 9. Activity leaders organise, throughout the entire summer, activities and entertainment each more fun than the others. Teenagers can also partake in activities set aside for them. These enable youngsters to be brought together, giving them the opportunity to create unforgettable memories!
During their stay at the Le Cabellou Plage campsite, holidaymakers do not miss out on visiting some of the most significant tourist sites in Finistère. Amongst these, we can obviously mention the walled town of Concarneau, but also the old town of Quimper, dominated by a beautiful cathedral, the village of artists, Pont-Aven, which moreover gave its name to the famous school of art, the villages and ports of Locronan, Bénodet, Le Guilvinec and others.
