Kersentic, a family campsite in Fouesnant
Kersentic is a family campsite with a human dimension, located in Fouesnant, one of the loveliest seaside resorts in southern Finistère. In a lush setting, this establishment entices you to come and make the most of the peace and warm surroundings, the entirety 600 metres from the gorgeous Cap Coz beach.
A warm family campsite in Fouesnant
Kersentic enjoys a beneficial location between the town centre of Fouesnant and Cap Coz, a narrow sand dune disappearing into the sea and ending with a small rocky island, the entirety surrounding the Baie de La Forêt Fouesnant bay. The eponymous beach is located 600 metres from the campsite and this is ideal for families, with the gentle slope to swim safely (in addition the beach is supervised by lifeguards during July and August). The Pavillon Bleu (Blue Flag) designation acknowledges the quality of the swimming waters, and there are white sands to build sandcastles and indulge in idleness, etc.
Moreover, amongst the pines and ria, the Cap Coz beach has numerous facilities enabling leisure and water sports activities, and a multitude of shops and services run alongside it: restaurants, beach shops, etc. Although the attractions around the campsite are legion, they are equally so on this Fouesnant campsite. For example, this has a wide choice of holiday rentals, particularly comprising cottages with an XXL terrace or private Jacuzzi, out-of-the-ordinary accommodation on stilts dubbed “Kabane du Surfeur” or even Coco Sweet tents.
This establishment also has a water park with indoor, heated swimming pool, paddling pool and balneotherapy area with message jets. Around the pools, a sunbathing area and sunloungers allow you to rest and relax, whilst sunbathing or flicking through the pages of a magazine or good book.
A dream stay in southern Finistère
As regards services, the campsite reception team’s remit is to strive to both meet all holidaymakers’ needs and respond to their enquiries! Never sparing with advice when it comes to knowing the best ideas and must-see tourist attractions, they can also answer all questions about the campsite. Moreover, the campsite has a grocery for emergency provisions with a bread and sweet breads and buns outlet, as well as a launderette. For something to eat, a gourmet snack bar offers crêpes, waffles, burgers, mussels and chips, apéritif boards, summer salads or even delicious pizzas, to enjoy eating in or as a takeaway.
In July and August, the Kersentic children’s club accommodates young holidaymakers, aged 6 to 12 every morning from Monday to Friday. On the weekly programme: Olympiads, treasure hunts, cooking rallies and preparing for the show! Should they wish to, children can also have fun by going to the campsite playground, including swings, slides and an inflatable play facility. Teens can make the most of ping-pong tables, table football, billiards or even the multi-sport ground and pétanque court, to have fun.
As for wellness, this southern Finistère campsite offers holidaymakers the chance to treat themselves to a reflexology or massage session, for a time of tranquillity and deep relaxation! Lastly, when the sun goes down over the horizon, everyone gathers as a family to enjoy a magic show, Breton evening with sea shanties and crêpes, wild karaoke night, and the must-see mini disco, which ends with a multi-generational dance night!
Stars in your eyes in Brittany!
On the Kersentic campsite, holidaymakers can hire electric bikes and go on the GR 34 paths, which run alongside the Bot Conan, Kermil and La Roche Percée creeks. 500 metres from the campsite, the Fouesnant water sports centre offers holidaymakers the chance to indulge in paddle boarding, kitesurfing or treat themselves to beginners catamaran.
Tourists can have a day trip to the Glénan archipelago, whose islands are opposite Fouesnant. Home to more than 140 bird species with exceptional flora including one endemic species: the Glénan Narcissus. The immaculate white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters of this Breton archipelago give those intrigued the impression they’re in the Maldives!
Not far from the campsite, the walled town of Concarneau, encircled by ramparts dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries is a must-see in southern Finistère. Strolling in the winding, cobbled streets enables you to discover art galleries, traditional shops and gourmet restaurants. To end the holiday, a visit to the neighbouring seaside resort of Bénodet is highly recommended!
