The luxury of a campsite at the gateway to Saint Malo
Five minutes from the beaches of Saint Malo, and not far from the Rance tidal power plant, lies one of the most beautiful campsites in France. This campsite, le P'tit Bois is a 5-star establishment settled in the heart of a quiet and green 6.5-acres area.
One part of the area with 275 pitches is intended to accommodate tents, caravans and campers. The other part is nowadays occupied by a range of luxury rentals. Even if the modern, functional and well-equipped cottages are the most common accommodations, we'd like to put the accent on the Taos, considered, rightly, as the cream of the crop in mobile homes. They feature a contemporary design, neat lines, luxurious facilities and high-end services.
Amongst the numerous facilities that can be found in this establishment we mention the many sports facilities, like the multisports ground or even the area for playing boules, perfect to organise pétanque competitions.
Quality pitches and luxury rentals
However, the most popular facility is of course the water park... With its many heated outdoor pools, its upstream river, its paddling pool and its various water slides, all the conditions are gathered to ensure successful afternoons of swimming and lazing. On top of that, if the sun doesn't come out, le P'tit Bois also has its own heated indoor swimming pool.
Since 2018, Le P’tit Bois has also had a second heated indoor aquatic area, the Coco Splash. In a tropical atmosphere and over more than 500 m², holidaymakers can make the most of 5 water slides and a water play area for children. An incredible facility to enjoy the joys of water whatever the weather.
To entertain the youngest, le P'tit Bois does not skimp on the means. A children’s club is open to those aged 5 to 12, who can thus have fun with qualified activity leaders being responsible for them. The campsite also offers a mini-golf course, a play area with a bouncy castle and swings, as well as a video games room (arcade games and pinball machines).
The Baby Club is an area especially tailored to the youngest holidaymakers aged 0 to 4 years. Safe and heated, equipped with a play mat, a ball pool and adapted early-learning games, this room accommodates babies who have absolute freedom to have fun under the supervision of their parents.
Finally, the evenings are punctuated by numerous events: between comedy musicals and dance evenings, clown and magic shows, there's something for all tastes and all ages...There are many such events in July and August, these entertainments also take place during the low season, at a pace which is simply more adapted.
A coast of a thousand treasures
Located in Saint Jouan des Guérets, a commune bordering Saint Malo, the location of the Le P’tit Bois campsite is perfect to quickly access the region's treasures - unfortunately way too many to discover in a single stay.
Anyhow, it seems obvious you can't miss a visit to the inner city of Saint Malo, with its walls, its castle, its cobblestone streets and its ship-owner houses. A walk around the port of this privateers city is also strongly recommended, and it is not uncommon to see magnificent sail boats from another era anchor for a few days stopover. The Saint Malo's aquarium is one of the largest Breton tourist sites.
On the other side of the Rance's estuary, the seaside resort of Dinard looks as elegant as ever. Further East, the port of Cancale and the oyster farms of its Bay with the same name see lots of tourists coming by. It must be said that they are part of the magnificent Emerald Coast charms. It spreads out until the famous Mont Saint Michel, a 40-minute drive from le P'tit Bois.
