In Sarzeau, the water park is one of the major attractions of the Saint-Jacques campsite. Here, you’ll have but one desire! Diving into its large indoor, heated pool, to relax and have fun. Toddlers make the most of a splash pad, specially given over to them, whilst the most intrepid can hurtle down the slopes on the slides for maximum thrill-seeking! After swimming, bask in the sunshine and read a book on your sunlounger, whilst waiting for your massage in the campsite's wellness area.
As regards accommodation, a further notable attraction on this establishment is your chance to hire cottages ranging from 24 to 42 m², perfect to accommodate couples, families and groups of friends! These modern holiday rentals are equipped, depending upon their size and layout, with two or three bedrooms, an equipped kitchen, one or two bathrooms and outdoor terrace with garden furniture set. You can also stay in delightful lodge tents, enabling you to have a “glamping” experience, right by the beach!
Has unpacking your bags and going round the water park whetted your appetite? Go to the snack bar to savour a generous pizza, ice cream or enjoy the sun’s rays, as you drink your coffee on the terrace. The Saint-Jacques beach in Sarzeau runs alongside the campsite; it is thus quick and easy to walk here by crossing a little sand dune. This is a large golden, sandy beach, perfect for family swims thanks to the peaceful and shallow waters. You can indulge in various water sports, such as sailing and windsurfing here, whilst children can build impressive sandcastles!
Each week, children organize a show supervised by the activity team. Who will produce the best moves and the best disguise? Lastly, young holidaymakers can also let off steam in the play area, or compete against each other at ping-pong on the campsite multi-sports ground!
For adults, warm-up and running sessions and hikes take place every day, not forgetting classes in stretching, gym, yoga and sports dance, such as Zumba. Near the campsite, you can also indulge in horse riding, golfing, kitesurfing, stand-up paddle boarding or relax whilst line fishing.
Fall in love with southern Brittany
The Sarzeau region abounds in tourist attractions, starting with the fabulous Gulf of Morbihan, whose spectacular marine landscapes, picturesque islands and varied fauna leave nobody unmoved. You can have a boat trip to the turquoise waters of the Ile aux Moines and Ile d’Arz islands. Just a stone’s throw from the Saint Jacques campsite, also visit the magnificent Suscinio castle during your stay, with its gardens, wall-walk, pont dormant (in the form of a stationary foot bridge) and murder holes. For a long time, this fortress was the summer residence of the dukes of Brittany.
You can also go to the Pen Castel windmill to learn everything there is to know about flour-making, whilst making the most of a panoramic view over the entire region, before walking to the lively marina in Le Crouesty. Stroll along the quays, you can admire the boats and enjoy delicious sea food on the terrace. Moreover, the beaches in Sarzeau and the surrounding area are perfect for swimming, water sports and idleness!
At low tide, you can access the private island of Beder on foot, and go along its hiking trails. Also go and see the local flora and fauna in the Séné marshes. Remember to explore the megalithic alignments in Carnac as well, and detour via the city of Vannes to visit its medieval town, ramparts, cathedral and port!
