  Although the first mobile homes appeared in the '50s in Great Britain and soon after crossed the Channel, we had to wait until the beginning of the ‘90s to see the first accommodation of this kind made in France appearing on French campsites. At the beginning they featured a more than minimal comfort, but the mobile home has since constantly been transformed to meet the quality expectations and requirements of its occupants.

  In fact, since the '90s the campsite has been obliged to adapt to the increasingly tough competition, proposing better quality camping conditions, such as a more comfort and better facilities, more in line with the wishes of French tourists, but also and more broadly of European tourists.

  In response and to keep its place as number one of tourist accommodations in France, the camping and caravanning industry started a far-reaching policy of modernisation, including at the same time fun leisure facilities and rental accommodations.   Mobil home Design (Campsite Le Ranolien)

  To provide a little originality to your campsite and propose unique mobile homes to your guests, why not ask a renowned designer? We owe this brilliant idea to the Manager of the 4-star campsite Le Ranolien, located by the sea in Perros-Guirec, on the Côtes d'Armor. Out of this collaboration the mobile home Design is born, a rental accommodation with an original architecture and high-end comfort!

  At first glance, this mobile home design, produced in 6 samples, looks like a boat. With its sloping walls and its upper deck-terrace, you don't have to look far to find out what inspired the architecture of the rental, even more because it is located on the seafront.

  Premium quintessential accommodation, this mobile home extends on a surface of 32 m² and can accommodate up to 4 people. It features a parental bedroom, a room for children with a bunk bed (2 single beds), a bathroom, separate toilets, a fully equipped kitchen and a living area with a plasma screen and a stereo music player. The terrace of 10 m² boasts garden furniture and a private barbecue.

  Bahia Lodge (Campsite Les Mouettes)

  One of the most beautiful outdoor holiday resorts of the North Finistère. 5-star campsite Les Mouettes, located in Carantec, offers tourists the possibility to enjoy its many leisure facilities, but also to lodge in contemporary design rentals, installed in very original districts.   Royal Malibu (Campsite Domaine du Colombier)

  On le Domaine du Colombier, a 5-star campsite in Fréjus, counting as one of the most high-end campsites of the Côte d'Azur, there is a Premium accommodation you cannot miss. This accommodation, le Royal Malibu, is one of the most luxury mobile homes ever built. With its surface of 40 m², it can accommodate up to 6 people. It is thus the ideal rental for a holiday with a large family!

  A few steps from the Water Park of campsite le Domaine du Colombier and from many other leisure facilities, the Royal Malibu is a mobile home entirely covered with wood in which we find three bedrooms, a bathroom, a separate toilet, a kitchenette and a living room.

  One of the rooms has a double bed, the other two have two single beds for the first one and a bunk bed for the other. The bathroom is equipped with a light shaft and a walk-in shower, while the kitchen includes a fully equipped central island with a ceramic stove, an American fridge/freezer "ice maker"(perfect for a drink!), a dishwasher, a microwave, a coffee machine with pods, etc. Finally, the living room features a TV with satellite channels, a DVD player, a MP3 docking station and a connection to the WiFi network.

  Cottage Loft (Campsite les Ranchisses)

  It is in the idyllic setting of the Nature Park of les Monts d'Ardèche that lies campsite Les Ranchisses. This 5-star campsite turns out to be a perfect holiday destination for those who wish to spend a dream holiday in Largentière, in the middle of the Ardèche nature. Apart from its great leisure facilities, this campsite also features comfortable and modern mobile homes. Among these, the Cottage Sunêlia Loft!

  It is the largest and most luxurious mobile home of the Déclik range, made by the French constructor Louisiana. With its simple and modern design, and its urban architecture that integrates perfectly with the surrounding nature, this heated and air-conditioned Cottage Sunêlia Loft can accommodate up to eight people in 32 m². Extremely well thought-out and organised, it has two bedrooms with two single beds and one bedroom with a double bed. The living room is also equipped with a sofa bed for two people.   Cottage Flottant (Campsite Saint Emilion)

  This is undoubtedly one of the most unusual mobile homes of this thematic file. The floating Cottage of campsite Yelloh! Village of Saint Emilion is indeed, and as its name indicates, installed on the water! Therefore, the occupants just have to close their eyes and listen to the lapping of the water on the floats to have the impression they're staying in the luxury cabin of a boat... in the middle of one of the most famous vineyards in France!

  We reassure the most anxious immediately, this floating cottage is not left to drift as it is securely moored to the banks of a four-hectare water plan surrounded by the 4-star campsite of Saint Emilion. Exoticism at its best on this platform with a total surface (i.e. including the terrace) of 54 m².

  The living room extends on a surface of 40 m². The two rooms of 24 m² can cleverly accommodate four people. The rest includes a bathroom, a separate toilet, a kitchenette and a living area.

  More than a campsite, Les Prairies de la Mer may call itself one of the most luxury French campsites. Located in Grimaud, at the edge of a beach by the Gulf of Saint Tropez in the Var, this 5-star campsite features an impressive range of highly comfortable rentals.   As its name suggests, this rental is freely inspired by Polynesia's farés, traditional Tahitian accommodations originally built out of bamboo. On campsite Les Prairies de la Mer, just like in Polynesia, they are nowadays built out of wood. The "Côté Plage" is explained by the fact that this unique rental lies directly on the beach, with "your feet in the sand." Therefore, from their terrace the guests can enjoy stunning views over the Gulf of Saint Tropez.

  It is certainly one of the most luxurious holiday rentals on this Ardèche campsite. More than a simple mobile home, the Cottage Prem1um is actually an assemblage of two air-conditioned modules, separated by a large terrace with garden furniture and several sun loungers. Designed to accommodate up to 6 people, this rental of 56 m² (34 m² for the first module and 22 m² for the second) has three bedrooms and a parental bedroom installed in the second module.   The Excelia Lodge is a ultra luxury and spacious mobile home, with a surface of almost 40 m²! Installed in the refreshing environment of a pine forest, covering a good part of the 30 hectares of the property, this accommodation has three bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchenette with dishwasher and air conditioning, a living area with a sofa bed, a bathroom and a separate toilet. These three bedrooms feature a double bed (160 x 200 cm!), two single beds (80 x 190 cm) and a bunk bed (2 x 80 x 190 cm).
