The Holiday Village Florenz, a dream campsite on the Po Delta
It is by the beach, in the town of Comacchio, in Emilia Romagna, that the Holiday Village Florenz campsite is located. Rated 4 star, this establishment occupies a shaded pine forest, under which nestle superb holiday rentals, including some offering a panoramic view over the Adriatic Sea. Between the swimming pool, the beach and idleness, the holiday menu has everything you need!
“Idleness” holidays in the sunshine of the Adriatic
You were dreaming of a semi-Olympic swimming pool, to perfect your breast-stroke, so you will love this large swimming pool of 25 metres in length, on this 4-star campsite in Comacchio. Moreover, for those preferring to perfect their tan, whilst chatting to a neighbour, sunloungers await you around the swimming pool. Whilst adults relax on the sunbathing area or do a few lengths, a shallow pool will enable your children to have fun in complete safety, under the watchful eye of qualified lifeguards.
If instead you are a lover of salt water, Holiday Village Florenz has its own private beach, with the possibility of hiring, upon payment of a supplement, sunloungers and parasols, either for a day or a week. Having cooled down in the turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea, you will be able to let off steam, on the beach volleyball and beach tennis courts, sail in a catamaran or a sailing boat, or even have fun as a family or with friends in pedalos and sea kayaks!
This establishment is also the perfect place to take care of yourself, during your holiday! Allow yourself a hammam or Jacuzzi session, or allow the gentle Chiara to give you a manicure, a pedicure or a facial treatment. It is even possible to enjoy a tailored therapeutic massage, in the magical hands of Armando. Moreover, if you had not had time to go to the hairdresser, before going on holiday, or if you wish to make yourself beautiful or handsome, for a particular occasion, Linda and her team will pamper you in their beauty salon, at the heart of the campsite.
Meanwhile, children from 5 to 11 years can go off and explore “Floraland”, the play area entirely set aside for them, and have fun happily under the watchful eye of the activity team.
Opposite the sea, a delightful and green campsite
The pitches of this Comacchio campsite are spread over the sandy ground of a pretty pine forest, and separated by cedar hedges. Thus, you will be able to take your holiday, as close as possible to the countryside, whilst preserving your privacy.
You will be able to hire the “Da Vinci” holiday home for 5 people, with its sun-drenched veranda, just a few steps from the beach. Some of them are entirely adapted to accommodate persons with reduced mobility. Holiday Village Florenz also offers the “Dune Bungalow” located at the heart of the holiday village complex, near the pizzeria, the grocery and the theatre. Alternatively, you might opt for one of the comfortable “Caravaggio Suites”, 50 m² of luxury delight and an enchanting terrace on the roof, to enjoy the view of the Adriatic Sea.
Two restaurants accommodate you throughout your stay. The “Pizzéria Berba” offers you delicious fish or meat-based dishes, in addition to traditional pizzas, to enjoy on-site or to take away. Right nearby is the “Berba Arena”, where all of the evening activities take place. You can therefore dine in complete tranquillity, whilst your children have fun, with their new friends.
Moreover, if you wish to take advantage of the view over the sea, you should go to “Monnalisa”. You can have something to eat there in the shade of the patio, or right on the sand. Cappuccino, croissants and doughnuts for breakfast, delicious sandwiches, wraps or hamburgers throughout the entire day, and refined dishes come the evening. The restaurant team will be delighted to welcome you, to satisfy either a large appetite or small hunger pangs.
A romantic walk in “Mini Venice”
Close by, you will admire the town of Comacchio, located in the heart of the Po Delta Regional Park, also known as “Mini Venice”, owing to the canals, which wind through the historic town. Do not delay in having a tour on the traditional “batanes”, flat-keeled boats which, around 10 years ago, still served as a means of transport for inhabitants of the town.
A large number of film producers, such as Luchino Visconti, Wim Wenders and even Michelangelo Antonioni, came here to immortalize their films in the delightful town of Comacchio, the Trepponti bridge, the five wide staircases of Istria stone, and the cinematic alleyways.
For those who love to be immersed in the heart of the countryside, book an excursion, to go and observe the animals of the Natural Mesola Forest Reserve. You will perhaps cross the pathway of the Mesola deer, the ultimate autochthonous species in the region. Who knows?
Lastly, cycling enthusiasts will enjoy pedalling along the banks of the Po Delta. A cycling route of 2 hours, between history and the countryside is on offer to you from Torre Abate up to the Goro lagoon.
Moreover, note that this magnificent region is home to an impressive ornithological fauna, of more than 300 bird species: herons, pink flamingos, egrets and even white stilts mix in an enchanting countryside...
