A 4-star campsite on the Adriatic coast
Villaggio Rubicone is one of the loveliest campsites on the Adriatic coast, in the Emilia Romagna region. Rated 4 star, this establishment is in Savignano Mare, a dynamic and festive seaside resort on the Riviera Romagnola. Here, at the mouth of the Rubicon river and by a private beach where holidaymakers can make the most of parasols and a multitude of other beach equipment available for hire, this campsite is located.
The grounds, lush and maintained with care, have a wide selection of pitches and holiday rentals to accommodate holidaymakers. For example, they can pitch their tent, or set up their caravan, camper or converted van on parcels where the best equipped have a 10 amp electrical connection as well as an individual sanitary block with shower, sink and private WC!
The holiday rentals consist of bungalows, mobile homes and permanent apartments. Amongst these mobile homes are the most high-end offerings some having, in addition to a multitude of indoor facilities, a private Jacuzzi on their terrace!
A water park and numerous facilities intended for holidaymakers
Although this campsite close to Rimini has a private beach, it also offers holidaymakers the chance to go to the superb water park to swim and get a tan. Within these facilities, there is a very large swimming pool and landing pool for the water slides, and balneotherapy pool having hydrotherapy benches with massage jets. For children, there is an amazing splash pad set aside for them with in particular a replica of a pirate ship, water slides and many other play facilities and water jets.
Amongst the other play and sports facilities on the Villaggio Rubicone campsite, note the play area around the mini-clubs (accessible to children from aged 5 and upwards in the Mini-Club, aged 11 and upwards for the Junior Club and 15 and upwards in the Teens Club). There is also an arena for evening entertainment (concerts, circus performances, themed evenings, etc., a games arcade, area where hip-hop and Caribbean dance lessons are on offer, football pitch, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, archery range, gym, golf course, etc.
This campsite close to Rimini also has numerous shops and services within the grounds. For example, there are two catering areas here: “GR-EAT” is the main establishment and offers a multitude of dishes including pizzas, seafood, traditional Italian cuisine and local specialities. This restaurant also offers a takeaway service. Located by the beach, “Santa Lucia” is the campsite’s second bar restaurant. It is more specialized in local cuisine and its terrace enjoys a delightful view over the Adriatic. Sea. Lastly, there are also other food and drink establishments on-site: a bar next to the arena, beach bar beside the beach and snack bar by the swimming pool.
Discover Rimini and the Riviera Romagnola when going off the campsite
A stay on the Villaggio Rubicone campsite is an opportunity to go off exploring the wonders of the Riviera Romagnola. Amongst these, the town of Rimini is one of the oldest (the town’s first public bathing establishment having opened in 1843) and indeed one of the largest seaside resorts in Europe! Its seafront has more than 15 kilometres of sandy beaches! Upon leaving the Villaggio Rubicone campsite, it takes 22 minutes to get there.
In Rimini, numerous bars and restaurants await tourists, who can also do countless leisure activities here. The town is home to a multitude of theme parks, such as the Boa Bay, one of the largest floating playgrounds in the world, and Fiabilandia, a children’s theme park with more than its due of fantasy worlds and legends, owing to the numerous roundabouts and attractions.
Amongst the other major tourist sites on the Riviera Romagnola, holidaymakers on the Villaggio Rubicone campsite can go to the Oltremare park to discover the scenery of the Adriatic and the “Dolphin Lagoon”, the largest dolphin pool in Europe. They can also go to the area inland of Rimini to visit the San Leo fortress or even the superb Gradara castle....
