Located along the Tagliamento, a river with emerald-coloured waters, Marina Azzurra Resort offers its holidaymakers the chance to completely unwind in the heart of nature, just a stone’s throw from the seaside and busy beaches of the Adriatic coast. Perfect for sharing a special moment as a family, a couple or with friends, the campsite entices you to stay in out-of-the-ordinary holiday rentals and make the most of its leisure facilities.
The accommodation offered by this Lignano campsite is similar to the “Casoni”, small pretty fishermen’s houses, typical of the lagoon. Known as “Houseboats”, these all consist of two storeys and have been laid out to accommodate up to 6 persons. The ground floor houses the sleeping accommodation with three lovely bedrooms, vast bathroom and numerous,storage spaces, whilst the first floor comprises a fully equipped kitchen area and large terrace, perfect for lunch in the sunshine!
To make their stay experience even more unique, holidaymakers can choose to spend their stay in a floating Houseboat on the Tagliamento! To access it, they simply have to use a little wooden pontoon. This establishment also offers a second option, which allows you to stay in one of these holiday rentals, whilst being located in the heart of a lush garden and on a permanent pitch.
Activities in a dream setting just a stone from the Adriatic Sea
In the heart of the village is a superb water park delighting the entire family! This consists of a large pool but also a wellness area, with numerous hydromassage jets for a deep feeling of relaxation. Children also have a lovely water play park with a shallow pool (20 to 50 centimetres), to enable them to have fun entirely safely. Lastly, this area is complemented by a large sunbathing area equipped with ultra-comfort sunloungers and parasols.
To enable holidaymakers to have fun throughout their entire stay, Marina Azzurra Resort has numerous facilities dedicated to sports activities, with in particular a large tennis court and multi-sports ground. Every Monday, guests also have the chance to make the most of a kayak trip, to cover and discover the amazing scenery which the Tagliamento river offers. In addition, children have all they’ll need to have fun and let off steam, as a shaded play area is located in the heart of the campsite!
This Resort has a bicycle hire service. By taking the cycle track accessible from the campsite’s way out, holidaymakers can go to the Lignano Riviera beach, located only 2.5 kilometres from here. On-site, there’s plenty for them to relax opposite the sea, as sunloungers and parasols are specially set aside for them in a beach club!
Head for the restaurant on the water!
The Clubhouse Emerald River is a large pleasure boat, home to the restaurant and bar of the Marina Azzurra Resort campsite. At the first and second bridge, holidaymakers can have a vast buffet at breakfast or for their evening meal. The upper deck includes a large panoramic terrace, with an atmosphere bar open every day from 10 a.m. to midnight! Note that trips of 2 hours 30 minutes also take place along the river every Wednesday…
Discovering the Tagliamento river is not the only activity to do in the region! There are superb beaches near the campsite and in particular the Bibione beach, particularly renowned for its fine sand, turquoise waters and multitude of shops. On-site, holidaymakers have the chance for beginner’s sessions or improving in numerous water sports, such as surfing, kitesurfing or even jet-skiing.
A few metres from the Resort, is also the Punta Verde zoo. This is a large park housing numerous rare animal species. You’re free to visit it, being aware you need around 2 hours 30 minutes to complete the entire trail. Unique encounters with some animals, such as sloths or giraffes are also on offer to visitors. All of the profits made from these activities are reinvested in research projects on the conservation of threatened species.
