On the campsite, a range of activities await you: volleyball, football, padel tennis, fitness, aquaerobics and marked trails in the heart of the forest surrounding the campsite, enabling walking, running or cycling (cycle hire possible on-site). For relaxation, a large swimming pool with a Jacuzzi section and vast sunbathing area are also available in the centre of the Isola Verde campsite, as is a bar to quench your thirst.
As regards entertainment, “happy hours”, foam afternoons, apéritif games and themed evenings provide fun and fantasy for your stay. For your children, besides the mini-farm in the grounds and play areas available on the establishment, the mini club takes responsibility for keeping them occupied several hours a day with supervised play activities. In Nettuno, to the south-east of Rome, you’re close to the superb Castelli Romani Regional Natural Park, highly sought-after by the capital’s inhabitants, starting with the designated village of Castel Gandolfo (holding the “I Borghi più belli d'Italia” (most beautiful villages in Italy label). This is the Pope’s summer residence, overlooking Lake Albano, where you can visit the magnificent gardens of the Palazzo Barberini (a 17th century palace in Rome). A further splendour, Frascati, a town which from its heights offers a magnificent view over the city of Rome. Make the most of this getaway to enjoy the delights of local gastronomy such as Coppiette d'Ariccia (slices of spiced dried pork meat) sprinkled with local AOP (Appellation d’Origine Protégée) European-regulated wine from this area. Equally there is the Frascati Pupazza (honey-flavoured shortbread biscuit).
History enthusiasts can go to the coast in Ostia Antica (Ancient Ostia), near the town of Ostia and explore the superb archaeological park in Ancient Rome’s port city, including a large part which is at least as well preserved as Pompeii.
