Sports lovers can find an outdoor fitness area, football pitches, petanque and beach volleyball courts and ping-pong tables on the campsite. Cycling aficionados, be aware that the campsite is the perfect starting point to reach the region’s cycle trails, particularly those surrounding Lake Maggiore, or indeed Lake Comabbio or Lake Varese. These paths enable you to admire outstanding scenery at your own pace!
On Lake Maggiore, you can hire a boat without requiring a licence, to fully make the most of water-based pleasures and discover the numerous treasures here, including amazing heavenly beaches, accessible solely by boat. Those who already have their own boat will find a fully equipped pontoon available for them (fresh water, electricity, security cameras, etc.) on the campsite.
Escape to the heart of must-see attractions in Piedmont and Lombardy. In particular, the celebrated Borromean Islands, for which Lake Maggiore is famous. There are a total of five, you can only visit three: Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola dei Pescatori. Leaving from Stresa, 25 Kilometres (around 15 miles) from the campsite, climb aboard to explore the history and cultural heritage of these gems in the region. Also explore the delightful towns of Arona, Angera with the Rocca di Angera fortress, Leggiuno, Toce Waterfall, Lake Monate, not forgetting Milan. Located 60 kilometres (circa 40 miles) from the campsite, this city abounds in countless hidden gems.
