A heavenly campsite at the foot of the Italian Alps...

Open throughout the entire year, this Dolomites campsite enjoys a location which is absolutely idyllic. Near the magnificent natural lake Laghetto di Fiè and the lower Alpine foothills, this campsite has a multitude of benefits to attract holidaymakers. On the menu during your stay, are top-of-the-range facilities, such as a golf course and multiple outdoor activities, sledding being one of them. Seiser Alm is a perfect family holiday resort in the north of Italy.

Having dreamlike surroundings and a view that will take your breath away, this Völs am Schlern campsite enjoys one of the most beautiful settings in South Tyrol. The campsite both wooded and undulating is at the foot of the Sciliar massif, the summit of which reaches 2,563 metres. In winter, the ski slopes attract lovers of winter sports (involving sliding or gliding) in large numbers, whilst in summer numerous hiking paths enable tourists to go off in search of adventure. As the sun goes down, an amazing view and a magnificent play of colours is on show for the residents of this establishment.

Seiser Alm has numerous pitches which accommodate tents, caravans and campervans. This establishment offers holidaymakers a wide selection of holiday rentals, including permanent apartments, and several types of chalets. Pitches extending over 90 m² (on average) comprise five ranges. They are equipped with a 16-amp electrical connection, a waste water disposal point and a Wi-Fi network.

The perfect pied-à-terre for nature lovers

As for holiday rentals, holidaymakers can book luxurious timber chalets, tents nestling in the forest as well as apartments, to accommodate the entire family. The chalets serve as the perfect starting point for spending a relaxing holiday. With their complete comfort and their modern layout in natural pine, in addition these lodges boast a fabulous view of the Schlern mountain (in the Dolomites).

On-site, holidaymakers will find everything they need at the campsite grocery. On the menu are a wide selection of locally produced organic products, wines and spirits, hygiene products and even caravanning equipment. Moreover, this luxury resort has a restaurant, which welcomes holidaymakers from Monday to Saturday (only during the summer). The chef, himself native to the Tyrol region, offers regional fare which you can accompany with an excellent bottle of local wine. Lastly, the open terrace offers a bewitching view over the summits surrounding the site.

In summer as in winter, there are many activities on offer to tourists to make the most of this wonderful scenery. Venturing into the surrounding mountains is possible using the Südtirol Alto Adige Guest Pass card. This card is perfect for people wishing to walk whilst avoiding using their car. It allows access to all forms of public transport, such as the trains, buses and cable cars.

Dream scenery on the Seiser Alm campsite

A stay on the Seiser Alm campsite is the perfect opportunity to go out and explore Europe’s largest high mountain pasture. In summer you can indulge in mountain biking or even hiking. In winter, the Alpe di Siusi mountains are a paradise for Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing or sledding. The loveliest mountains in the world can be found in the Dolomites massif, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009.

A genuine haven of peace and nature, the summit of the Dolomites is home to 790 different plant species. The region has 450 kilometres of hiking trails, which the most competitive tourists can roam over with the help of a high mountain guide. There is no shortage of traditional taverns along the hiking paths, enabling you to treat yourselves to a delightful break.

Numerous leisure activities are available to holidaymakers, amongst them a ride in a barouche (horse-drawn carriage), ice-skating, paragliding, horse-riding, golf and swimming... The magnificent natural swimming lake, Laghetto Di Fiè, located just a stone’s throw from the campsite, is a perfect place for relaxing whilst getting a tan on the lawns around it, with a view of the Sciliar (Schlern) mountain range. Lastly, on Seiser Alm, you can also make the most of the salt water swimming pool, heated to 29 degrees… p>
