An exceptional campsite in the Province of Verona
To begin with, the owner Renato Amicabile, started by building 5 bungalows and 20 pitches, with the help of his family and colleagues, accepting with enthusiasm and affection the first foreign guests arriving on the shores of Lake Garda, for their first camping holiday in the region. Since 1969, Fossalta has accommodated holidaymakers in excellent holiday conditions on the eastern shore of Lake Garda. Dotted with olive trees, magnolias and oak trees, this campsite is therefore amply shaded for the greatest delight of holidaymakers, who can thus rest without being deprived of a magnificent view over the most beautiful of the Italian lakes. Although the operation has expanded and improved over the course of the years, the campsite has retained its initial spirit: ensuring that our customers feel relaxed in touch with nature and part of the family, in a warm and intimate atmosphere.
The campsite is located in the town of Lazise,south of Bardolino and north of Castelnuovo del Garda. It faces the largest natural lake in the country, Lake Garda, which stretches over nearly 368 km². A leading tourist destination, each year Lake Garda attracts a multitude of holidaymakers, as much Italians as the rest of Europe. By virtue of this tourist throng, numerous leisure, cultural and sports activities have developed in the region. Around the lake, are some of the most famous theme parks in the country such as Gardaland (rides, an aquarium and Legoland) Movieland Park (movie-themed) and CanevaWorld Resort (including a water park and other attractions).
On-site, spacious and luxury accommodation, as well as lawned plots intended to accommodate tents, caravans and campers on surface areas ranging from between 80 m² to 100 m², await tourists. These pitches are equipped with a 6 to 10 amp electrical connection, and some of them have been laid out by the water, such that they enable their occupants to enjoy the view over Lake Garda.

Equipped with a giant screen to watch sports events, this also plays host to themed evenings, concerts, shows and karaoke nights. The establishment has a grocery to buy fresh bread every morning, and sweet breads and buns such as croissants, brioches and pains au chocolat, soft drinks, local wines and carefully selected food and essentials. From the restaurant’s large picture windows, you will be able to make the most of a splendid view over the campsite. In the event of bad weather, the outdoor restaurant terrace will be covered so that you are guaranteed to make the most of your lunch/evening meal in complete tranquillity. You can also enjoy drinks and cocktails on the panoramic terrace, whilst admiring the unrestricted view over Lake Garda and the magnificent sunsets.
Fossalta also has multiple leisure and sports facilities, such as 2 tennis courts with artificial grass, a football pitch, a basketball court and a volleyball court. Young and old alike will enjoy the 2 swimming pools surrounded by a large terrace where you will be able to relax and get a tan. They are located just a stone’s throw from the campsite bar, a perfect location to watch children, whilst sipping a cocktail. The large rectangular swimming pool (25 metres by 12.5 metres) has a depth varying from 1.2 metres to 1.5 metres and has a play water slide. The small circular swimming pool (with a 15-metre diameter) has a depth ranging from 0.2 metres to 0.6 metres.
Numerous activities for all the family
In summer, young holidaymakers can make the most of multiple recreational activities organized by the activity leaders in the Fossalta mini-club. This 3-star campsite in Lombardy, located in the vicinity of the Lessinia Regional Natural Park, is moreover the ideal starting point for long mountain bike rides on the Monte Baldo mountain range, or to discover the delight of sports and nautical activities offered around or on Lake Garda. Examples include windsufing, kitesurfing and even paragliding.
As regards gourmet or œnological (wine-based) trips, the region of Valpolicella is renowned for its famous wines, and the cultivation of olive oil is a regional speciality of Verona.
