115 hectares of countryside
In the middle of nowhere, less than three kilometres from the hamlet of Montclar, in the heart of the Corbières massif, the Domaine d’Arnauteille nestles. This 5-star campsite in the Aude, within the exceptional 115 hectare setting, on a wooded and landscaped site with graduated terraces, naturally offers amazing views over the surrounding mountains; the Corbières, but also the Pyrenees and Montagne Noire ranges.
Even though the whole grounds extend over almost 115 hectares, with an average altitude of 270 metres, the area set aside for camping occupies only 12 hectares. With 102 camping and caravanning pitches and 115 holiday rentals, the Domaine d’Arnauteille is a campsite on a human scale, particularly enjoyed for the setting, peace and tranquillity.
The plots are divided into various types, their surface area ranging from 80 m² to more than 150 m². The largest and most comfortable are the Premium pitches with a private sanitary block. All these pitches are suitable for accommodating tents, caravans, converted vans and campers.
The rentals are well-equipped, ideal for people looking for comfort and a holiday rental where they feel good. The most high-end holiday rentals are located in a Premium district. They offer a surface area of 38 m² to 40 m², all having two bathrooms, air conditioning, a television, and panoramic terrace with a pergola, garden furniture set and sunloungers.
The campsite's bar restaurant, laid out in the former stables of the grounds, offers a wide variety of regional specialities and AOC wines (the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée ensures regionally based quality regulation). Guests can enjoy delicious dishes on a lovely terrace shaded by lime trees here. A takeaway service is also available on-site, as are a grocery, bakery, launderette and a multitude of other services.
A water park with an ancient backdrop
A genuine nerve centre on the campsite, the water park on the Domaine d’Arnauteille campsite has a backdrop which will not leave you unmoved! Developed like a Greek-Roman Amphitheatre, in ancient surroundings tourists can make the most of the four pools in this water park, unique of its kind. There is a swimming pool 25 metres long, children’s paddling pool and various Jacuzzis, such as those found in the spa baths from the Roman era…
Around the pools, the 3,000 m² of tiers in this imitation amphitheatre are used as a sunbathing area by holidaymakers, wishing to relax after a few lengths and make the most of the delights of water. The indoor water park, adjoining the outdoor pools, accommodates a large swimming pool and swan’s necks. Not far from here, outdoor water slides enable young holidaymakers to indulge in loads of thrill-seeking!
Among the leisure and sports facilities on this luxury campsite in the Aude, worth noting there is a riding school, offering campers the chance to treat themselves to a horse or pony ride in the Montclar area. A multi-sport ground, area for playing boules, ping-pong tables and games room complement the campsite’s fun offering.

The fortified town of Carcassonne, and the impenetrable strongholds, nicknamed ”the 5 sons of Carcassonne” (the Quéribus, Peyrepertuse, Aguilar, Termes and Puilaurens fortresses), are amongst the most visited sites in Cathar Country. The Aude may boast a rich historical heritage, but this department has many other tourist treasures, such as the gorges, dream spots for lovers of canyoning, rafting, canoeing and hydrospeed (white-water swimming).
