Just a stone’s throw from the Casino Flamingo (a casino attraction) in Le Grau du Roi and the theme park Amigoland (with its amusements) is the Abri de Camargue campsite. In total, the area of the latter extends over 4 hectares of wooded and shaded grounds, which are barely 1 kilometre from the beach at Port Camargue. Not far from the campsite, there are also the salt marshes of Aigues Mortes, which stretch as far as the eye can see.
Port Camargue is one of the most lively districts of the seaside resort of the Le Grau du Roi. Holidaymakers can find a multitude of shops, bars and restaurants, barely a few hundred metres from the campsite. At the heart of the campsite, the mobile homes and pitches for tents, caravans and campers are surrounded by various Mediterranean essences, such as oleanders, maritime pines as well as tamarisk plants.
Close to the pitches, the various sanitary blocks on the Abri de Camargue have recently benefited from a complete refurbishment and now have improved lighting, are more ergonomical and in addition have an area reserved for young mothers. It is also possible to partake of refreshments, and come and look for takeaways. You should also note that it is possible to choose a “half-board” or “full-board” formula during your stay at the Abri de Camargue campsite. Finally, the communal barbecue area on the campsite is ideal to get together and prepare your barbecues, either as a family or with friends. You can thus share convivial times.

A bicycle path runs in front of the campsite and enables lovers of cycling to go to the Plage de l’Espiguette (a long and wide natural beach), which is classified as a Grand Site de France (a natural protected site), and considered as the most beautiful beach on the Camargue and indeed one of the most beautiful in the country.
It should also be noted that staying in this luxury campsite in Le Grau du Roi, holidaymakers can take advantage of its location to go out and discover the Camargue and the Montpellier coast. Just a few minutes by road from here, the ramparts of Aigues Mortes, activities in La Grande Motte, the village of Les Saintes Maries de la Mer, the ancient remains of the city of Arles, the pink flamingos, the horses and bulls of the Camargue, and even the Pont du Gard, are on offer for the scrutiny of curious residents of the Abri de Camargue…
