La Pinède, a luxury campsite at the foot of vineyards
At a few kilometres from Pézenas, in the Hérault, we find 4-star campsite La Pinède. Between vineyards and garrigue, in the village of Castelnau de Guers, this top-end campsite is open year-round and invites you to spend your holiday in peace, in the middle of nowhere and around twenty minutes from the dynamic Côte d'Améthyste (the coast from Marseille to the Spanish border)...
A concept which mixes peace, luxury and nature
A first-choice residential campsite, La Pinède nestles in the heart of a massif, wooded by hundred-year-old pine trees, numbering some 300. Around here stretch the vineyards of the Pays d'Oc as far as the eye can see. Two kilometres outside the small village of Castelnau de Guers, nature and tranquillity are all around. So there's nothing better than a stay on our campsite to relax and to rest, knowing that the beaches and resorts of the Hérault coast are only about twenty minutes away by car!
This luxury campsite of the Languedoc Roussillon does not propose any bare pitches to receive campers and their equipment (tents, caravans or campers), but it offers tourists the possibility to stay in one of the 155 mobile homes that dot the area. These all belong to private owners and 60 of them are available for rental.
Perfectly integrated into the environment, these rental accommodations are only accessible on foot during high season. Carts and trolleys are available to carry luggage and other groceries from the shady parking, at the entrance of the property, to the mobile homes. In September and June, traffic is allowed only for unloading and loading of cars. Security and peace are no vain words on campsite La Pinède!
For a relaxing holiday throughout the year
Open all year round, this 4-star campsite in Pézenas guarantees you a relaxing and invigorating holiday in the heart of the Hérault department. Every rental features free access to the WiFi network and a terrace to enjoy the outdoor life. A permanent surveillance service, a laundry and a restaurant complete the service offer of La Pinède.
L'Orangerie, the campsite's restaurant, is open from April to September... Here you can enjoy a refreshing cuisine with excellent wines from the Languedoc. The pizza's can be eaten on the spot or taken out, but if you wish to taste the oysters you should dine in on Sunday afternoons... During high season, the Thursday nights are the opportunity to participate in theme evenings or to assist to an intimate concert on the terrace.
Peace and quiet reign over the entire property, but it can happen that an exception is made around the campsite's Water Park. Open from the Easter holidays until Halloween, the Water Park of La Pinède features a beautiful pool of 240 m² and its forms match perfectly the curves of the land. Facing south, there's also a second heated pool, a paddling pool for children and a whirlpool bath to relax even more.
A dream campsite 17 kilometres from the seaside
For fun and activities, this luxury campsite in the Hérault department offers its guests several sports and/or leisure facilities, particularly for the very young. There is, for example, a children’s playground, with a swing, a slide and a spring "see-saw", but also table tennis tables, a mini-golf course, two areas for playing boules, a volleyball court, a football pitch and other facilities.
Although a holiday is, above all, intended for relaxing and having fun, it is also an opportunity to explore the tourist marvels of the region. And that's good news, as there are many around campsite La Pinède. The small village of Castelnau de Guers, located 2 km from the campsite, is a good example, as is the historic heart of the town of Pézenas, 5 km further north of the campground.
Tourists staying on La Pinède can also easily reach the beach resorts of the Hérault coast, like Marseillan (10 km), Agde (17 km) or Sète (34 km). They can thus make the most of the long sandy beaches, which give the Côte d’Améthyste its reputation, but also the numerous activities and forms of entertainment which take place here…
Barely much further, other must-see sites of the department are the Hérault gorges, the Cirque de Navacelles (an incised meander) and the Salagou valley. There are even the charming villages of Saint Guilhem le Désert, Minerve and Olargues which are seen as must-sees in the department.
