A campsite 20 minutes from the beaches of the Côte d’Améthyste...
The Sandaya campsite, Le Plein Air des Chênes, is in Clapiers, a village bordering Montpellier in Hérault. These have been laid out at the heart of a forest of oak and pine trees, thus enabling us to offer one of the most natural and delightful surroundings to holidaymakers, only 20 minutes by road from the seaside and beaches of the Mediterranean.
A shuttle service, put in place by the campsite, enables you to ride for free during summer to one of these beaches, from 8th July to 1st September. By staying within this 4-star campsite in Montpellier, holidaymakers are spoilt for choice as to the beaches located within the the Montpellier suburbs, upon which they put their towels down: Pérols, Le Grau du Roi, Palavas les Flots, La Grande Motte and other locations are all seaside resorts and beaches renowned for their quality and sunshine!
Holidaymakers also have the choice of staying in cottages that are extremely well equipped, as well as lodges which enable you to combine the delight of sleeping under canvas and the modern comfort of a mobile home.
Luxurious cottages and spacious pitches...
The hundred-year-old forest, within which the Le Plein Air des Chênes campsite nestles, also shelters spacious shaded pitches able to accommodate traditional campers and their tent, caravan or camper van. These have a water point as well as an electrical point. The pitches in the Premium range have, in addition to water and electricity, a private shower installation with shower, washbasin, sink and WC, a garden furniture set and a connection to the campsite Wi-Fi network.
A multitude of services have been put in place on this Hérault campsite, and are available to holidaymakers, with a view to facilitating everyday life. For example, the reception has a tourist information area. Tips on activities to do and attractions to discover in the region, can be provided by the teams at the Le Plein Air des Chênes campsite.
Several shops have been set up on-site, such as the snack bar “Le Petit Chêne”, a convivial and warm area where you can treat yourself to a cool drink, have a takeaway, buy fresh bread and sweet breads and buns such as brioches, croissants and pains au chocolat each morning, attend a sports event broadcast on a giant screen and make use of other facilities. Amongst the other campsite services, also note the launderette, games room, area to hire gear and equipment and other facilities.
A giant aquatic park to have fun as a family...
A campsite on a human scale although, that being said, Le Plein Air des Chênes is a top-of-the-range establishment making available a multitude of quality leisure facilities. It is particularly the case with its aquatic park, having dimensions which are mind-boggling to lovers of swimming and idleness! Over more than 1,200 m², no less than 4 swimming pools await holidaymakers, as well as a water slide, a multi-slide, a children’s paddling pool, games and water jets, an artificial river and Jacuzzis.
To enable holidaymakers to indulge in physical activities and entertainment during their stay, a multi-sports ground, as well as an area for playing boules, 2 tennis courts, a mini-golf course, a ping-pong table, a playground, as well as a treetop adventure course are amongst the facilities in the Le Plein Air des Chênes campsite.
Moreover, various play activities are on offer to holidaymakers, particularly intended for youngsters who can have fun by joining the mini-clubs open during the high season (Kids Club, Juniors Club and Teens Club). Adults are able to take part in fitness sessions and aquaerobics and even various excursions arranged by the campsite (a visit to the horse and bull herds of the Camargue and other such trips).
Lastly, during the summer evenings, everyone meets up on the bar terrace to take part in entertainment: shows, challenges and themed evenings are all on the menu!
