Experience the essence of the Mediterranean, amid the Etang de Thau and lush vineyards
Staying on Beauregard Plage campsite means embracing a land of subtle contrasts; on one side the sea, on the other the Etang de Thau lagoon, with vineyards as a backdrop. In the morning, you stroll through Marseillan market and enjoy the sun-kissed fruit on offer here. At noon, treat yourself to oyster and shellfish tasting by the lagoon. Come the afternoon, head for the straw hut bars and open-air cafés on the coast.
Taking in the local heritage, you go back in time at Marseillan port. You visit the Noilly Prat distillery and museum or escape to the narrow streets of Sète, including canals and the Mont Saint Clair promontory. In just a few kilometres, the scenery changes. You encounter the wild beaches of the Sète lido, Languedoc villages, and panoramic views from the vineyards.
Come the evening, the real show takes place on the beach. The golden light over the dunes, the steady lapping of the waves. The horizon glowing pink. You head back to your Bohemian tent, lodge or pitch with the feeling that everything has unfolded naturally. Here simplicity is a luxury; the Mediterranean, the beach, time and space…
