Luxury, wellness and idleness at the Les Méditerranées - Charlemagne campsite
Located in Marseillan, a charming seaside resort in the Hérault department, situated around thirty kilometres to the east of Béziers, the 5-star campsite, Les Méditerranées – Charlemagne revolves around everything that you would expect from an amazing open-air hotel. By the sea, this campsite welcomes you for a sunny and unforgettable holiday, either as a family or with friends!
A 5-star campsite which is a stone's throw from the Marseillan beach
Running alongside the famous Avenue des Campings in Marseillan, the campsite is within walking distance of the beach. A location which is all the more idyllic since only the Les Méditerranées – Nouvelle Floride campsite, a member site in the same group (and which is also top-of-the-range), separates the campsite from the beach. The beach is situated a mere 200 metres from the Charlemagne campsite. Holidaymakers at Charlemagne can thus cross the Nouvelle Floride campsite, without any problem, and therefore walk safely on to the fine warm sand of the Marseillan beach!
Ideally located, this campsite also benefits from careful attention having been paid to its internal layout. There are trees and small shrubs in large numbers allowing this campsite to be green, shaded and refreshing. In total, Les Méditerranées – Charlemagne has a little over 450 plots, the majority of which are occupied by mobile homes.
All of the accommodation available for hire in this 5-star open-air hotel is air-conditioned. Holiday rentals can accommodate between 2 to 6 people, depending upon their layout. They are all placed in the most peaceful part of the Les Méditerranées – Charlemagne campsite. The pitches intended for accommodating campers and their tent, their caravan or their camper are equipped with both a water tap and a 10-amp electrical connection.
There are three aquatic parks meaning three times more delight!
On-site, you are able to take advantage of a multitude of facilities and services, such as a restaurant, a snack bar-takeaway, a bar and a grocery. The majority of Marseillan beach shops and restaurants are accessible on foot, whilst the hypermarkets in Agde and, of course, Cap d’Agde are accessible, being less than a quarter of an hour by road.
Amongst the leisure facilities, which have proven a tremendous success with holidaymakers at the Charlemagne campsite, a prime example is the aquatic park. The latter is an absolute tropical Eden, with its numerous pools, rapid river, paddling pool for the very young and its aquatic slides. Around the swimming pools, the artificial beaches are equipped with several multicoloured sunbeds, which lovers of idleness and the waterside siesta go wild for!
The Les Méditerranées – Charlemagne campsite aquatic park also has a newly opened indoor section. This has already been highly cherished by well-being aficionados! Indeed, there is a balneotherapy swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, multiple water jets, bubble benches and other such facilities. There is plenty to make you feel good and get the most out of your holidays, so as to get back into shape.
A dream stay in the south of France
If the water park of this campsite is not enough to delight you, you should also know that you can take advantage, for free, as a guest of the Les Méditerranées group, of the aquatic areas on the Nouvelle Floride campsite (located opposite the Le Charlemagne campsite) and the Beach Garden campsite (hardly 500 metres away). The latter are equally heavenly and also revolve around numerous swimming pools and water slides!
Even better, you will be able to enjoy all of the activities, facilities and entertainment on all three campsites during your stay. From the children's open-air games areas to the children's and teenagers mini-club, or aquaerobics sessions or evening concerts, shows or cabarets, you are assured of finding everything you'll like, and indeed everything you'll need, during your holiday at Les Méditerranées.
Lastly, make the most of your stay in the Charlemagne campsite and go out and discover the Hérault department's major tourist attractions. These include beaches and seaside resorts, the Lac du Salagou lake, the Pic Saint Loup mountain in Languedoc Rousillon, the villages of Saint Guilhem le Désert and Minerve, and the Cirque de Mourèze and the Cirque de Navacelles (both incised meanders). Other attractions include the Hérault gorges, the Canal du Midi canal, the Étang de Thau Mediterrranean lagoon, and the Grotte de Clamouse and the Grotte des Demoiselles caves. The Hérault department will amaze you with its beauty and the multitude of treasures dotted throughout the area.
