The Côte d'Améthyste refers to part of the Occitanie coast, from Argelès sur Mer as far as Le Grau du Roi, including Canet en Roussillon, Gruissan, Cap d'Agde, Sète and La Grande Motte. From the Beau Rivage campsite, you can easily reach Mèze, a small charming authentic town nestling amongst Mediterranean scrubland, vineyards and the Thau lagoon. The Etang de Thau is a genuine inland sea, separated from the Mediterranean by a fine sand dune: the Lido. There is exceptional ecological diversity in the lagoon, enabling a multitude of shellfish, oysters, clams, sea urchins, and various sea bream to thrive undisturbed.
