La Palavas, a luxury campsite in Palavas les Flots
It is 3 kilometres from the centre of Palavas les Flots, in the vicinity of a charming marina, between the Lez river, the Lac de Prévost lake and the Mediterranean Sea that the Tohapi Le Palavas campsite is located. Eight hectares between the sea and the countryside, in the sunshine of the Languedoc-Roussillon. An advantageous spot to meet the needs of everyone: relaxation and rest, swimming and sports activities, fun and fits of the giggles for children, an aperitif with friends and dinner in the open-air...In brief, a perfect holiday for all the family!
A campsite by the sea in Palavas
The days are warm and sun-drenched in the Hérault - you will thus particularly enjoy the water park of 450 m² with lifeguards, with a heated swimming pool, paddling pool, whirlpools, and water slides. Moreover, if you prefer the feel of the sand under your feet, and allowing your eyes to drift towards the horizon, you should know that the campsite has direct access to the Mediterranean Sea and its vast golden sandy beaches.
As regards accommodation, holidaymakers are spoilt for choice: campers can choose bare and wooded pitches, either with or without electricity on 70 to 90 m² plots, whilst the fully equipped mobile homes with 2 or 3 bedrooms, a terrace and garden furniture are offered for hire, to provide for those seeking additional comfort. Moreover, the “Privilège” (Privilege) range holiday rentals have a private Jacuzzi!
For something to eat, barbecue areas are available for you, as well as a mini-market and a bread outlet service. The establishment has also a delicious pizzeria, a snack bar offering cocktails and ice creams and a restaurant by the beach. You will able to order takeaway dishes, and savour these in complete intimacy on your terrace or your plot.
Heaven for young and old alike in the Hérault
At the Le Palavas campsite, everything is set up so your children spend an unforgettable stay. The “Maison de Topi” children's club will, in all likelihood, be their headquarters, as it brings together the 3 children's clubs: “the Champions” for those aged 4-6 years, “the Winners” set aside for those aged 7-11 and “the All-Stars” for youngsters aged 11-14. A dynamic, creative and international activity team accommodates them in the best conditions for delightful days, and crammed with three high points: the children’s show, the make-up workshop and photo story, which illustrates through photos life at the “Maison de Topi”. Not forgetting both the mini-disco, and encountering Topi, the campsite village mascot.
For one day a week, it is “Topi Day”: the activity leaders look after children all day, even at lunch time, so that parents have complete freedom and peace of mind to do as they wish! For half a day a week, the campsite has “Family Morning”! The activity team offers to bring together children and their parents around a shared fun activity, during a walk in an exceptional location, for example a treasure hunt, Olympiads or comical “challenges”.
On the menu for adults: muscle strengthening, aquaerobics, beginners’ dance, stretches, fitness, Zumba but also step and aerobics classes. Moreover, a multi-sports ground is available, as well as beach volleyball and pétanque courts, and table tennis tables. Lastly for those keen on nautical activities: jet-ski, inflatable towed tubes, stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing and even kitesurfing are on offer to the most adventurous.
The wonders and magnificence of the Camargue
Palavas les Flots is an acknowledged seaside resort but is, above all, a charming fishing port. Thus from here, we invite you to start exploring the region. Stroll in the town centre, whilst enjoying an ice cream, and you will probably come upon a street show. Those passionate about heritage will admire the “El Cordobès” arena, before taking the path with vineyards and wild flowers running alongside it, towards the Maguelone peninsula and its ancient cathedral, classified as a historic monument (having the Monument Historique designation). You will also be able to walk through the markets and buy fresh fish, fished straight from the port.
Unless you were to opt for a delightful horse ride in a reserve between the sea and the étangs (natural lakes) in the Petite Camargue. There you will see pink flamingos, black-headed gulls and numerous other bird species. Those who wish to combine nature and fun will also be able to try their hand at one of the 25 treetop adventure courses, offered from aged 3 and upwards in the multi-activity park “Les Rochers de Maguelone”.
You will only be 10 kilometres from Montpellier, the perfect opportunity for an urban walk in this city, where each district differs from the others, with a clever mix of ancient and contemporary architecture. Have a drink on the Place de la Comédie central square and look around the Place du Peyrou square and its panoramic viewpoint. The flea market takes place every Sunday morning, perhaps enabling you to find some rich discoveries. You will also be able to walk around the Mont-Saint-Clair vista, in Sète, enjoy the incredible panorama over the Mediterranean, and attend nautical jousting in the town’s port.
