More than a campsite, the pirates’ paradise!
It is to the south-west of the seaside resort of Vias Plage that the Californie Plage campsite is located. Rated 4 star, this establishment with 371 pitches makes the most of an advantageous location. It indeed runs alongside a little sandy creek and faces the superb Mediterranean Sea.
The campsite’s central area, which has recently had a makeover, has been adorned with numerous decorative elements, directly inspired from the world of pirates! Plenty to enchant holidaymakers who find a multitude of shops and services on this square.
For example this is the case with the grocery, open every day from April to September, and which enables you to stock up without needing to take the car. One of the restaurants of the campsite, the “Black Pearl”, is also not far from there. This is the perfect place to get together as a family or with friends and enjoy delicious meals, but also to make the most of its snack bar and takeaway service. The other bar-restaurant of the campsite, the “Beach” is located next to the beaches. It enjoys an unrestricted view over the Mediterranean! You can sip a cocktail and enjoy succulent grills, tapas, regional dishes and other such delights.

Although there is a wide range of services offered within this establishment, what about its accommodation offering? This is partly made up of various no-frills or equipped pitches able to accommodate a tent, a caravan or a camper van, located by the sea or in the shade of more lush vegetation on the landward side.
This Vias campsite also has a wide variety of holiday rentals, modern and spacious mobile homes fitted out to accommodate, according to their given category, between 2 to 6 people. Moreover, these mobile homes are all equipped with a terrace upon which holidaymakers can eat their meal or simply enjoy the sun which bathes the Côte d’Améthyste. At the dawn of the 2018 season, three new types of accommodation are appearing at the Californie Plage campsite. The Caïcos Premium and the Caïcos Premium for Persons of Reduced Mobility, established in a new area of the campsite, which is entirely pedestrianised and beautifully laid out with sand and palm trees, enable the campsite to offer a level of luxury and quality hitherto unprecedented up until now. Moreover, the height of luxury, 2 Caïcos cottages opposite each other, have a shared terrace and their own private spa!
Luxury and well-equipped rental accommodation invites you to rest, even though there is an infinite number of recreational activities scattered over the campsite. In 2019, a completely new water park will open. Also inspired by the world of pirates, there are 4 pools, including an indoor heated swimming pool, a giant water slide, as well as a Jacuzzi and a children’s splash pad/pool.
A play structure, taking the form of a pirate ship, offers children the opportunity to let their imagination run wild to have fun, whilst they can take part in a multitude of activities and entertainment at the mini-club. A teenagers’ club is open in the high season. The campsite also has a video games room, and board games can be lent to residents.

A waterfront campsite, the Californie Plage has the advantage of being perfectly located between the seaside resort of Cap d’Agde and its multitude of tourist attractions and the town of Béziers, which brings together a significant historical heritage.
The Roman amphitheatres, the old bridge on the Orb river, the Saint Nazaire cathedral, the Canal du Midi and indeed even the multiple lock gates of Fonserannes are thus amongst the treasures of this town in Hérault, the second largest urban area of the département after Montpellier.
At Cap d’Agde, tourists can make the most of a theme park, an Aqualand, a casino, several clubs and discotheques…all located barely a quarter of an hour by road from Vias and from the campsite Californie Plage!
