One of the loveliest campsites in France
There is no doubt that the 5-star campsite La Sirène, besides being one of the most beautiful establishments in the Languedoc Roussillon, can be considered one of the most beautiful campsites in France. And without being excessively patriotic, rare are the European outdoor establishments able to compete with it...
A history spanning half a century
The La Sirène campsite is a benchmark in the South of the France. Settled near the beach of Argelès sur Mer, this 22-acres green park has all the necessary amenities to ensure a successful stay. Opened in 1964, it has since continued to innovate and invest, offering always more comfort and services to its residents.
La Sirène offers many mobile homes, cottages and chalets. These modern, design, spacious and comfortable rentals (some even have air-conditioning) are put together in the Premium or VIP district, where calm prevails, only disturbed by the sweet song of the cicadas.
On the other hand, some campsite locations are bubbling with life. This is notably the case with the restaurant and show area, entirely re-fitted, modernised and transformed at the beginning of the 2020 season. Now entirely indoor and offering more places still for the public, there is even a new stage and a large terrace for dinner shows. In addition, the snack bar and the takeaway received a major facelift. Amongst the other public areas of the campsite we should mention reception, the numerous shops, the gym (new for 2020), etc. Near to these is the water park…
With its 10,000 m² surface area including 2,000 m² of pools, the water park of the La Sirène campsite is one of the largest in Languedoc Roussillon, but also in France. Real tropical Eden, this universe of freshness and relaxation consists of a huge lagoon, two covered and heated swimming pools, a large paddling pool and many water slides.
One of the largest water parks in the Roussillon department
One of the indoor pools, of 620 m² is set aside for children. With its multiple water jets, waterfalls, toboggans and a climbing wall, it is a real water paradise and next to it is an outdoor playground. Aquatic awakening of the youngest is proposed in another lagoon, where soft slopes, water slides and other water games have been studied to optimise their pleasure.
As for the adults they can enjoy the other covered and heated swimming pool. With its whirlpools and massage jets, wellness and relaxation are certain. All the more so since it is possible to get a massage in a specially fitted out room, next to the water park!
This open-air hotel in the Pyrénées Orientales is also renowned for the quality of the entertainment and activities on offer, as much for adults as for the younger ones, through its children’s and teenagers’ clubs. At the “Syppox Kids Club” for those aged 3 to 12 and the “Studio” for those aged 12 to 18, children and teenagers can have fun. They can take part in numerous games and entertainment, trips organised off the campsite, etc. It is also worth noting that within this multi-star campsite in Argelès, activities and entertainment take place every day. Even as much in the high as in the low season!
An unforgettable holiday in Argelès sur Mer
The proximity of La Sirène to the beach of Argelès sur Mer (900 metres), a famous seaside resort on the Roussillon coast, is not the only geographical advantage of this campsite. Indeed, tourist sights are abundant in this region, and from this establishment they are easily and quickly reachable.
Driving along the coast to the South of the Pyrenees Orientales and Spain, it is possible to see the wild beauty of the Côte Vermeille, composed, among others, of high cliffs and beautiful coves. There are a few well-known beach resorts like Port Vendres, Banyuls sur Mer or Cerbère. But the most beautiful and most charming of all is without a doubt Collioure. This seaside village boasts an important historical heritage, and is famous for having housed many painters including Pablo Picasso.
From Argelès, you can quickly reach the first peaks of the Pyrenees, dominated by the Canigou peak, 2 785 metres above sea level. The fortified town of Mont Louis protects since centuries this part of the mountain range. It houses the oldest solar oven in the world, a facility that today attracts numerous tourists.
