An ideal setting just a stone’s throw from the seaside
Located to the south of the famous seaside resort of Le Barcarès, in the Pyrénées Orientales, the Les Tamaris campsite club accommodates holidaymakers in the heart of a green campsite, which is in bloom and barely two kilometres from the seaside. The long beach at Barcarès, as well as the Leucate lagoon, where you can enjoy countless water sports, are not far away.
Although the setting is delightful and the location optimal, this luxury campsite in the Pyrénées Orientales saves other surprises for its holidaymakers within its 17-hectare grounds. Among these, there are 571 spacious pitches, separated from each other by hedgerows and well-wooded.
These parcels are now all occupied by modern and comfortable holiday rentals. Modern mobile homes offering their occupants all the requisite qualities to both feel good and rest here, during their stay in Le Barcarès. They consist of the Classic, Confort (Comfort), Premium, Signature and Signature & Spa ranges.
The Club Les Tamaris campsite has mobile homes which are amongst the most luxurious in the camping market, some of which have air conditioning and a dishwasher. Some accommodation offers a private Jacuzzi, for even greater comfort! Finally, others are perfect for XXL families, with lovely dimensions including 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Leading facilities for an active holiday
Four impressive water slides dominate this Le Barcarès campsite. The first two start at a height of 5.50 metres above the ground, whilst the other two start at an amazing 11 metres above the ground! These four water slides comprise two “Aquatubes” of 60 and 65 metres in length, a “Compact Slide”, which is 45 metres long as well as a “Wave” Slide, a slide for use with an inflatable ring offering the maximum in sensations for thrill-seekers.
These water slides add to the impressive water park on Les Tamaris. With more than 2,000 m² of pools, the latter enables all campsite holidaymakers to make the most of the delights of water, from April to September. It consists of a large submerged beach for the very young, anatomical benches, outdoor water garden with 3 water slides, indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzis etc. You’ll be able to make the most of a wave pool and wild river, for a guaranteed change of scenery. Thanks to the sunbathing area with sunbeds, you’ll make the most of the sunshine which drenches the region. Lastly, the Zen swimming pool is a haven of peace set aside for those over 18, for a moment of unwinding and relaxation.
Les Tamaris makes relaxation prominent with a wellness area, consisting of a beauty, massage, hairdressing and nail salon. The campsite also offers you the MS Cocoon, a private wellness area (extra) with a sauna, spa, hydrotherapy tables and tea room.
Entertainment and activities taking place throughout the season
Among the campsite’s other facilities are a 1,000 m² children’s outdoor playground, play area for the under 3s (new for 2025) and the Belito Club and Teens Club (both open all season), providing for all ages. There is a mini golf course, tennis courts, gym, padel tennis court, Boules court, multi-sports grounds, beach volleyball court and Mölkky (a Finnish throwing game)!
Regarding services, this outdoor establishment in the Pyrénées Orientales, has an entirely renovated restaurant-snack bar, offering a panoramic view over the Zen swimming pool, bar, sweet snack area, and grocery with a fresh bread and sweetbreads and buns outlet. There is also a launderette, shop selling beach articles, gym, street workout area, full Wi-Fi coverage etc. The relaxation area accommodates holidaymakers wishing to feel good. There is a sauna as well as a hammam here.
Throughout the club's opening period, holidaymakers can enjoy activities and entertainment organised by the Tamaris team. The team is present on-site from 10 a.m. to midnight and its main goal is to entertain holidaymakers with recreational, sports and creative activities throughout the entire day. In the evening, this dynamic and cheerful team is also here to take part in shows and evening entertainment on the campsite.
