A 4-star aquatic area by the Étang de Leucate
Amongst the multitude of facilities of this 4-star campsite located by the Étang de Leucate, there is a multi-sports ground and a number of other sports facilities, such as climbing wall, pétanque grounds and table tennis tables. Also on the campsite, there are several children's play areas, which include a bouncy castle and a trampoline, as well as a very delightful aquatic park.
The La Presqu’île campsite's aquatic area is close to the bar-restaurant. Built by the Étang de Leucate, this enjoys a panorama which could not be more heavenly with, in the background, the famous Pic du Canigou (the Catalans' sacred mountain) and the lower foothills of the Pyrenean chain. Although holiday makers cannot fail to appreciate the view, they can also take advantage, doing so with pleasure, of the various facilities which this aquatic area offers. These include the swimming pool, the children's paddling pool, the water slide, its landing pool, sunbeds, the Jacuzzi and other facilities.
Also located close to the La Presqu’île's bar-restaurant, the mini-clubs accommodate holidaymaker's children in excellent conditions. Open five days per week, only in the morning in the low season and also in the afternoon in July and August, one accommodates 3 to 6 year olds. At the La Presqu’île campsite in Le Barcarès, the programme of activities does not extend exclusively to July and August. It is indeed throughout the entire season, and thus from when the campsite opens until it closes, that activities and entertainment take place for the greatest delight of all holiday makers. Thus during the low season, the latter can take advantage times a week of zumba and fitness sessions and introductory yoga and other activities.
Five evenings a week in the low season, games evenings, musical nights and children's mini-discos take place. In the high season, every day and each night holidaymakers can participate in the diverse activities organised by the campsite entertainments team: sports tournaments, so-called sun dances, apéritif games, beginners dance classes, concerts, cabarets, magic shows and comedians and other activities.
From Le Barcarès, there are a multitude of tourist sites. Nothing beats a stay at the La Presqu’île campsite to discover these. Whilst thrill seekers can try their hand at flyboarding, banana boating or jet skiing, lovers of old buildings prefer to visit the Forteresse de Salses (the 16th century Catalan Fort de Salses), located barely a few kilometres from the campsite!
